GBunfair policies My wife took out a subscription to this service which I only became aware of 1.5 years after she died of cancer. When I approached the company to ask for a refund they said would only refund 6 months, saying that payments before this were ‘finalised’. No amount of explaining that I was completely unaware of the subscription and that it had obviously not been used was any good. I can’t believe they would not make an exception in cases of bereavement.

GBThere isn't a 0 so I give it a 1 There isn't a 0 so I give it a 1. Despite the fact that I tried in several occasions to cancel this subscription that I've barely used 3 times in one week in 2021...they still robbing me on the 3rd year now. Been cancelled their subscription with barclays, as none are answering but a month later they still taking money out as they got my details. No replies whatsoever, proper scammers. I will contact ombudsman.

DESribd is my most used App. The best Scribd is the most complete provider of anything: Audiobooks, Books, Podcasts, Documents... I am signed up for forever now and wouldn't want to be without it. Best app in my opinion - there is also no maximal usage or anything as is with other providers.

GBI’m giving them a 1 star review because… I’m giving them a 1 star review because the website popped up when I was looking for something and it gave me the option to download what I was looking but it asked me to make an account. I made the account and then it asked for $11.99 and said it would be free for 30 days. Here’s the issue. Scribd uses the word free for click bait. The other issue is I DONT WANT TO GIVE YOU MY BANK INFORMATION! This information should have popped up right after I clicked on the link but it didn’t and now I have to unsubscribe and figure out how to delete my account. Y’all are not worth the inconvenience especially after I found the SAME THING for FREE on another site! Part 2: your response was generic and unacceptable. I specifically said I do not want you to have my bank information. I specifically said that the 11.99 and free trial crap should’ve popped up when asked to make a account.I specifically said this was a waste of my time because I was not able to download the file without the free trial that includes the MY bank info that I don’t want you to have.

AUCharged me despite no validated email Apparently I signed up months back to Scribd. The issue was that the email address I entered was incorrect and would definitely have bounced! So no welcome email, no receipts etc. Yet despite not having a validated email address they continued to charge me a monthly fee. Once I saw the recurring payment they only refunded 1 month subscription. Surely this is not legal to charge someone without a validated email address??? I hope the document I read was worth it, as I'm $100 out of pocket :-(
