CAThese thieves billed my credit card… These thieves billed my credit card without my permission. Their business practices are disgusting. Buyer be VERY aware. If you are looking for a tracker - go check out Garmin Inreach - Good product and honest customer service, (Update - I have spoken with their customer service group and they have agreed to reimburse my CC account within 14 days. If this happens I will delete this post and revise my assessment. It remains a terrible practice to suck people into automatic renewals,)

CHBorderline fraudulent billing practices So, apparently my Spot tracker service got renewed each year for over 6 years (my mistake that I didn't check my credit card bills more thoroughly). I am certain that I tried to cancel the service back in 2014 after using it for a very narrowly defined purpose. No notification via mail, almost impossible to cancel now. I will blacklist them with my CC company and suggest to my outdoor shop to at least warn people when selling that product.

GBSTAY AWAY from this company STAY AWAY from this company! Their device "Spot GPS" does not work most of the time. We've tested it. Despite cancelling my subscription over a year ago, they did the following: 1) Billed my credit card 2) Charged an even higher amount 3) Never sent any notification 4) Never sent any receipt 5) Customer service was slow, they lied, they attempted to gaslight me, and finally begrudgingly refunded my money weeks later ONLY after I reported them for FRAUD to my credit card company. STAY AWAY! THere are better products out there.

GBI wouldn't trust these conmen with my life. After trying for ages to find a way to cancel my account online, I could not. Then I emailed their deactivation email address. No response to the first email, second email was bounced with a "Recipient address rejected: Access denied." response. So they just don't want to deal with me, but they are still going to take my money. I've had to resort to cancelling my credit card as there's no other way to stop these cowboys from taking my money. Never using again.

GBLess than a week old and NO-GO. I purchased the SPOT TRACE unit from West Marine on 27 May 2023. I have been unable to connect to the activation link in the Quick Start Guide in order to initiate service since then. I have tried multiple times per day. I thought it was due to the Memorial Day holiday. However, after reading all the 1-star reviews I plan to return this to West Marine. I get the feeling all the 1-star reviews would be 0-star reviews if there were such a lower rating.
