GBCheck all your drives Check all your drives. Zonealarm creates hidden folders called SandBlastBackup and then picks personal files based on your internet surfing and document usage and stores them. (for what?) You cannot delete them until you uninstall Zonealarm. This is beyond shady and lame. It is a complete failure to respect consumer privacy and should be illegal. CheckPoint software is MALWARE! Do not be fooled by their clever language. They are spying on you and using your files and identity WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE. I found 3 sensitive business documents in one of these folders. There is NOTHING they can say to make that acceptable. Absolutely DISTURBING.

GBDo NOT install if you watch any online videos If you watch any online videos, to include YouTube, please DO NOT install ZoneAlarm. My laptop isn't fast (1.86Ghz to be exact), but I was able to watch any online videos without interruption before I installed ZoneAlarm. I did not think it was Zone Alarm that caused the issue, after all, it was only an antivirus software. I deleted Zone Alarm to test it out, and instantly, after a reboot, I was able to watch videos without interruption. The speed felt rejuvenated to youth again. Thank goodness I didn't pay for a year subscription.

GBZone alarm melts your PC Zone alarm used to be great 10 years ago. I installed it recently because I was tired of Comodo interfering with other programs and me having to disable it regularly to play some games... When i installed ZoneAlarm i was satisfied initially. It does fulfill it's function. However, it somehow manages to make my PC suffer more than a UltraHD FPS. I was having issues with lag everytime I open Firefox because it seems to analyse every bite that comes through, in other words it's extremely unefficient. The breaking point was 5min ago when I got a Blue Screen Of Death because of it. NEVER AGAIN

GBGood Software Gone Bad In the beginning, Zonealarm was a very good firewall. However, it's grown into a monster writing thousands of temporary files in less than two weeks of use on a new laptop. The ability to control installed software, from companies that poke around in your computer, under the guise that they're giving you a 'better experience' is gone. These are two major issues that have brought me to dump Zone Alarm permanently.

SGTakes 1GB of RAM and Disk at 100% I wanted to try and install the ZoneAlarm free version. They offered a free license for the ZoneAlarm Next Generation Antivirus (Beta version). After installation, it takes more than 1GB of RAM memory, the disk is at 100% and I cannot do anything on the computer. And this is impossible to uninstall. Some folders are left and CheckPoint SBA keeps running in the background and eating memorey/disk. I tried with Revo or IObit: still some folders with dll than cannot be removed. What a nighmare !!!
