CADid not get a SIM at airport I paid 34.99$ for a sim card to be picked up at the Varadero airport upon arrival. They even asked for the arrival date to have the card ready then. When I came to the airport the Cubacel stand was there deserted with nobody in attendance and no information where to go next. I had to leave the airport without the SIM card. The next day I tried an ETECSA office in Havana to retrieve the SIM card. They had a computer problem and couldn't do it so I spent my whole trip without the SIM card. I did not get to write their customer support until after my trip but was happily surprised by their prompt response and refund.

GBService well, don't value permanent clients. El Servicio es aceptable, la pagina tiene algunos defectos pequenos. Ofertas solo para nuevos clientes, por lo que no hay apreciacion por clientes recurrentes. The service works well, with some minors defects. Offers are not available for existing consumers, so looks like they don't value permanent clients.

CHIt's a ripoff for uninformed tourists… It's a ripoff for uninformed tourists that I feel for, too. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ They sell Cubacel tourist SIM cards to use in Cuba. Price is $35. They say you can pick up the SIM card upon arrival at the airport or in ETECSA store in the city (Cuban Telco). So I came to Havana. I arrived late at night, and the airport point was already closed, and I couldn't pick up the SIM at the airport. Okay, let's pick it up in the Havana city, I thought. The problem is, when I came to the city and asked at the central ETECSA store near the Capitolio to pick up the SIM, they didn't have my email. Nor did they know about suenacuba. The funniest thing was, that I bought a Cubacel tourist SIM with 3.5Gb data pack at the same ETECSA store FOR $8 (1150 CUP)! THE TOURIST SIM COSTS $8 IN ETECSA STORE VERSUS $35 ON SUENACUBA WEBSITE! I asked the website for refund, but of course they didn't reply. Sucks to be me. If you want a Cubacel SIM, go to an ETECSA store upon arrival to Cuba. It will save you tens of dollars.

GBDisappointed There is a supposed promotion for first time clients, which does not really applies. I tried to get used of it and was told I couldn't because the cubacel number was associated with another account. So, is the promotion about us being first client new account created, or about the cubacel phone number being first time used by any account in the WHOLE WORLD? They are just advertising a service they are not providing. Very disrespectful to the customers and even unlawful. What a pity... we Cubans should be more United than ever and more helpful than ever during these very hard times.
