Poor Service Poor Service As much as I would like OneSim to work, the fact is that it is a failed operation. I am abroad and needed a number for my bank to contact me. I found OneSim and had to sign up for an annual subscription (already a telling indicator that I had to sign up for 12 months as a minimum). The service is unreliable and when I contacted customer representatives, they told me that they knew that there was an issue but were unable to provide any repair date. Overall, this feels like a scam.

Can't Use Visa or PayPal I have used OneSim for a couple of years. Since day one I have not been able to use my credit cards (RBC Visa and Mastercard in Canada) to buy credits on the Sim account or even buy credits in the 1Simfund. So I have been using Paypal to make payments on their system. However it appears that they are no longer allowing Paypal so it's adios to OneSim. I've never had such a frustrating experience trying to give money to a vendor. UPDATE. After this review OneSim sent me an email explaining that my account information must match exactly what is input on their order system. I have spent hours with my bank trying to correct this and nothing works. I have not had this issue with other vendors in over 30 years of using my Visa cards. Very disappointed.

Happy Ending After an exhaustive month or so on a OneSim Help Desk Ticket trying to determine why my VOIP app did not work on an Android phone, I congratulate the help team for putting up with me. It is not that I don’t like OneSim; I do and have used it for over ten years with great success. When tech things go wrong, I suspect I am not alone in becoming a poor-me bore and a nuisance. Although One Sim did not actually solve my problem, they spent endless time with me trying many solutions. In the end, changing the modem/router in the house had OneSim’s VOIP app working perfectly. In an age where so much of customer service is robotic at best and non-existence at worst, it is great to know that OneSim has real people to keep customers happy and up to tech speed. Thanks guys.

Gino had excellent patience with me and… Gino had excellent patience with me and was very clear and spoke slowly so that I could follow him. I wish everyone could instruct over the phone in this manner as so much easier to understand. I feel he made extra effort to make sure I understood and could make the right decision.

ACTIVATION A bit of trouble activating - my own lack of experience - I did not include the oo before the number to use to confirm activation. Called the help number & spoke with Brian - quickly sorted me out
