GBIt's 2016... I was a little disappointed with this company, but luckily I only paid for one month's worth of usage instead of the year that I first intended to. Now while the actual speech-to-text is in my opinion as good as anyone else's in the same price range (you get what you pay for, and the really expensive stuff is superb) It's the after sales service I'm peeved with. This is 2016 and still they are working to a two to three days timetable to get back to people. (Excluding weekends of course) So, I had a problem, emailed them about it, three or four days later, after I'd sent a second email telling them that this service was very bad, they came back to me almost instantly saying, (Quote) I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with the Ginger software. It sounds like a common bug we had with our previous version of Ginger, Please uninstall your current Ginger software and follow these instructions to download and install our latest version. (Unquote) Am I the only one who can see a major problem with this statement! Why have they stilI got an old version laying around? Anyway, I followed their instructions and now I'm back to square one because sadly it wasn't successful. All I have now is the free version that does not include the speech-to-voice that I've paid for. And that only works on a limited weekly time basis. So I sent another email telling them I followed their instructions and now it doesn't recognise me. So, without using one word of this software, the cost to me has gone from £0.61p per day for the month to £0.81p per day, and that is if I get it sorted by this weekend. So the bottom line is, their product is okay, the price is middle of the road, but their after sales service is, I'm sorry to say, atrocious. It is no longer 1970 or 80, it is 2016 and people want replies to problems yesterday. Especially when it's their money being used up. I will not be buying the annual version now, whatever happens, nor any other version come to that. I will instead be spending a great deal more money and buying the latest Dragon Software (probably) instead. It's a great shame, but I like everyone else, want what I pay for.

EGUpdated on customer service [UPDATE: The developers contacted me and confirmed that all old lifetime users were saved on their license. Thank you so much] This app when was beginning and unknown, it offered a one-time lifetime purchase and license for people. Now, after years they press old customers to pay again for a yearly subscription saying they did a lot of updates and they deserve to remove and delete the old deal! I purchased the lifetime license in 2018 and recently they sent me an e-mail that this license has been removed! They believe they have the right to violate the previous conditions with their former clients. That's their way of running a business.

GBI've used Ginger I've used Ginger, and it has been a good service. Can you please explain why you cancelled the subscription? I paid in full until February 2026 because, by error, you took two separate payments in February 2023. I received an email yesterday notifying me you have cancelled my automatic payments, and now I cannot log into my premium account. I emailed you on Wednesday, the 14th, and Thursday, the 15th, but I still haven't received a response. Can you please rectify the above issue? Otherwise, I will have to speak to PayPal about the overpayment. Many thanks

GBNot responding and still charged me I reached out to Ginger more than once on August 1st to cancel my account before the charge date of August 7th and they still charged me. I also emailed for a refund and no answer! I’m trying to get in touch with them before I have to dispute the charges.

LKIt is a total scam It is a total scam. The only way to stop the automatic renewal is for you to cancel the card all together.
