Excellent service Excellent service. Books are easy to select. Ordering process if flawless. Actually ordering a book means some waiting time because of environment conscious print-on-demand system. But this is perfectly OK. If you are in a hurry: aim for the e-books.

Wide selection of technical titles I've been an Apress customer for almost ten years and have noticed how it has steadily gotten better with time. Apress Access, in particular, provides unprecedented access to digital e-books related to very specific programming-related topics. The company constantly pushes out relevant and updated material that keeps up with the times. One of the nicest features is that Apress gives user the option to download books in EPUB and PDF formats. Both support the majority of e-reading devices. Sadly, the company stopped supporting MOBI formats for Amazon devices a few years ago. That means customers have to perform an additional conversion step if they want to use devices that only read MOBI files.

An excellent source of knowledge An excellent source of knowledge! There is an exceptional selection of current topic software titles for me to choose from. The authors/editing are very good in their ability to convey complex subjects! I cannot say enough good about apress.com!

Convenient Easy to use, and it was good to be able to download the various ebook formats in one place. I wish though there wasn't a time limit (due to various device issues, accidents, etc) on retrieving the books if you have paid for them, but I have no good or neat recommendation for handling this situation.

Long term customer of books about software I've been a customer of Apress for many years. The transactions can be easily completed using the web site. I usually like to look through the Table of Contents of a book and, if possible, read about 10 pages of the book to get a feel of whether the book topic interests me and if I like the author's writing style. Over the years, Apress has made this more difficult. In particular, I compare this to the Manning site - which I find to be even more helpful. I still buy an occasional book at Apress and I am generally satisfied with those purchases.
