My incredible research journey as a complete beginner I joined the Lumiere Research Program having zero knowledge about research. As someone living in a developing country, I initially thought it was beyond my reach. However, thanks to the generous financial aid provided, I was given the opportunity to let my curiosity shine. With the support of a kind and excellent mentor, as well as a whole caring staff, Lumiere provided an experience that not only made me feel empowered and smarter, but also equipped me better for the world. Today, I can truly say that Lumiere has had a profound impact on my intellectual and personal growth and I am grateful for that!

My Lumiere Education Experience My experience at Lumiere was fantastic. I was introduced to my mentor and program manager on my first day, and these two people have followed up with me closely through each step of my research journey. My mentor was the best; she could always explain everything in case I didn't understand, she could encourage me in a good way by giving me tips on what I could improve, she could always check on me and ask me how I was doing and if I need more sessions or time to finish my work. I had an amazing time with her from the first day when we were brainstorming our beautiful research question to the last day when she was reviewing my final paper. It was a journey full of laughter, curiosity, celebrations, a lot of screening, growth, learning, and love for research. This experience is just the beginning of my dream to become a researcher and positively impact society. With Lumiere's strong foundation for research laid, I am confident that I am on the right path.
