GBI really liked that the mock interviews… I really liked that the mock interviews were tailored to my needs and felt very realistic. Also the questions were actually about my activities, so I had practice talking about my activities as well as some generic questions to talk our my answers. I would highly recommend anyone trying to get actual interview practice!

GBForever Indebted to MedSchoolCoach I am so grateful for the support from MedSchoolCoach during my application cycle for general surgery residency. I had been told that my chances to match were slim to none by my home program, so I began considering alternative specialties and even military programs. Dr. Ruby has been cheering me on since day 1. He always was encouraging and he along with my writing advisor really helped me highlight my strengths in my application and interviews. After getting my step 2 score back, I was almost certain I wouldn't match. I then lost my military placement after outrageous changes to my obligation on the last day to sign. I really had felt all hope was lost. Lucky for me, I still had my amazing MedSchoolCoach team on my side. Dr. Ruby was so professional, always prompt for meetings. He helped me go through my long list of programs that I planned to apply to and helped me decide on the final list to submit to eras. His mock interviews helped me so much on the real deal. He gave lots of great feedback and guidance. After interviews, Dr. Ruby was very influential in guiding me through my rankings and really helped me navigate the process seamlessly, helping to look over post interview emails that I sent. With much credit to my MedSchoolCoach team, I matched at my number one general surgery categorical position at George Washington University!!! If you are on the fence about this program, I hope you take my story into consideration. I am almost certain that the outcomes would not have been as fruitful if I hadn't made the investment with MedSchoolCoach. Now I'm forever indebted to this program! Thank you all so so much!!

GBFantastic Experience with Dr. Ruby, Amy Whitcomb, MSC I worked with Dr. Ruby in the 2023/2024 application cycle for medical school, and I could not have asked for a better experience. He objectively evaluated my strengths and weaknesses as a candidate, provided tailored and actionable feedback, and enabled me to tell my story in the most effective way possible. I have now been accepted to a medical school that was at the top of my list. This would not have been possible without Dr. Ruby's guidance, nor without the expertise of my writing advisor Amy Whitcomb.

GBGeneral Surgery Applicant with the help of Dr. Ruby I am a US-IMG who applied to General Surgery for the 2024 match cycle. I worked with Dr. Ruby as my mentor at MedSchool Coach. He was a great mentor. He was readily available to take any calls or texts I had at almost any time. He was great at communicating which is essential during the match cycle. He was knowledgeable about the match cycle and what made a desirable applicant. He was great at helping me fine-tune my application and giving me suggestions based on his vast experience. He also encouraged me to make the final decision on content and edits, ensuring my application was personal. I would suggest Dr. Ruby to any applicant applying to general surgery.

GBNothing special I found the interviewer for my mock MMI to be not very helpful. He asked a total of 4 questions, all which were basic and on any free online resource. He rambled on for a while about unrelated topics, which wasted the limited amount of time we had. He also did not provide helpful or specific feedback. The MMI was also not structured- no timer, no follow up questions. Overall, not worth the whopping $350. The experience was something I could have found on Google or Youtube for free.
