GBWhen you find an American made product When you find an American made product, with American customer service you know you’re on the right track. Needed to extract some Allen key bolts from a pergola and the Grabit pro did the trick on all of them. Thank you - everyone needs one of these kits in their tool bag.

GBQuick shipping, nice set of bits Item - microbits - arrived in about a week. Turned out the set was too small for what I needed but I tried them all anyway. No breaks. Ended up drilling out the broken screw. I will order a larger set soon. I based this purchase on a Youtube comparison video.

GBI guess I had high expectations even… I guess I had high expectations even after reading some reviews that were not so complimentary. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. I was able to remove one bolt, after drilling into it with a regular drill bit. The drilling part of the grab it just doesn't cut it. In fact, it walked on a couple of bolts, causing me to have to enlarge the original hole. The extractor loses a lot of its bite fast, so it doesn't grab it! I brought the Pro set thinking I would make it work...it still needs work.

GBHow did I miss that? I was a machinist for the first part of my working life after 4 years of Machinery Repairman in the Navy. I recognize a left-hand drill bit when I see it. For some reason unknown, even after reading the instructions that came with the Grabit set, I drilled using standard direction with my drill. Needless to say it didn't drill well. It wouldn't even drill deep enough for the removal portion to grab and remove the #8 screw, even though I was using that end properly. I responded to the "No-Reply" email and, surprise, a reply came up for Anthony at Grabit. I explained that something didn't work and also suggested that this HAD TO BE operator error. The response said that he gets this regularly. Even though the directions say both drill and extract must be done "reverse" direction. I slapped my forehead and looked at the Grabit package. Duh! Conspicuously written in bold arrow, "REVERSE." When used correctly, these things are a marvel. He even offered to replace the two that I damaged using incorrectly. Grabit gets 5, operator gets 1. Anthony recommended 30-70 rpm as well. That was another surprise, but it works! My two speed drill press only goes as slow as 160. Use your variable speed cordless.
