Outstanding company and service! First I ordered the wrong size jack plate. I called customer service and talked directly to a person whom spoke English! He was happy to assist me and did so very fast and was very knowledgeable about their products shipping was extremely fast, and the jack plate is very well built. I couldn't be more happy with my entire purchase experience. I will be a returning customer and whole heartedly recommend them to everyone!

The Vance mini jack plate worked… The Vance mini jack plate worked perfectly to raise my long shaft motor on a short transom long boat. I have already recommended the Vance mini jack plate to two people and will turn to Vance first if I ever need another jack plate.

A couple things were frustrating A couple things were frustrating, my jack plate was shipped out with missing parts, no installation instructions, and the shipped email notification was misleading. The email states " (#8290) was shipped via UPS, UPS® Ground on 9/12/2023". The only thing that occurred on that day was a shipping label was created and and for some reason it wasn't actually picked up until "SEPTEMBER 13 - 3:56 PM". Additionally the product was sold as an 5" setback, but doesn't give any indication that by selecting a 2 or 3 inch clamping board thickness this increases the setback. Pucks or a different option would be much better suited vs adding more heavy starboard and additional setback unless a customer needed that.

I had it sent to a very experienced builder who told me it was a perfect fit for my project. Very happy with my first purchase from Vance Manufacturing!
