Listed my car on Auto trader and received many texts from 346-315-3019 saying they were interested in my car but needed me to get a report fromwheelbrief.com. I stated car fax was better and they insisted on this instead!! I refused and said I would do car fax and then all communication was done!! It’s a scam to buy this crap report!! I am reporting them and beware future buyers!!! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!! I also asked for a refund and did not receive it !!!! SCAM

GBI have my Corvette listed on Autotrader… I have my Corvette listed on Autotrader and I get a text message from 346 area code in Houston area asking me if I have a Wheel Brief report on my car. I told the person that I've never heard of Wheel Brief and the person then sent me a link to a site called Wheel Brief. The person said that they lived a hour and a half away and would be at my house the next day with cash to buy my Vette. But, the person insisted on having a Wheel Brief report first. I told the person that I would provide the Carfax, they wanted the Wheel Brief report. This is all s scam, pay $40 to get absolutely nothing and I didnt fall for it. I told the person that my kids Mom works for the FBI and that is true. I also told the person that the scam that they are using is wire fraud and the phone number was issued into a data base that tracks criminals on the Internet.

GBSmelled like a scam Smelled like a scam. A few months ago I had the same experience with another bogus website and thankful I didn't put my info in. This one was from a 312 number and seems to be another variation on the theme. Besides, it is more expensive than a reputable report from vendors that have been out there for decades. Check what the vendors the DMV recommends. Red flag when someone bases the premise of buying a car on only a report from a company no-one has ever heard about.
