12 yrs ago they had decent Subaru and… 12 yrs ago they had decent Subaru and Toyota rebuilds, now nothing but headaches. Stopped buying their rebuilds or any other used stuff a couple years ago because of the crappy products.

Stay away from these guys If I could, I would give Engine World 0 Stars. If you are a gambling person and are feeling lucky, you may consider buying a used engine from these guys, but unless you want to join the ranks of those scammed, stay away from them and take your business somewhere else. They sold me a bucket of bolts passing for "a used engine in good working condition", and their 6 months Warranty is not worth the paper it's written on. When my mechanic got the engine for the swap in my car, he warned me that the engine was rusted and in bad shape and he had to do several repairs to it before installation...."they just spray-painted it gray to make it look good", he said. Well, I live in Tucson, AZ almost 1,000 miles from their warehouse in Oakland and didn't have any other choice but to proceed. After the installation, the engine lasted 17 miles before it croacked. Even though it was under the 6 month Warranty period, they refused to honor it and I ended up taking them to Small Claims Court in Oakland, CA. I won the Court case for the full judgement plus Court Fees, but they sure made me jump thru hoops before I was able to collect the full amount they owed me. Their lack of decorum and integrity, short of being sleazy, provide zero recourse in their so-called "customer service". Other folks with similar experiences want to report these guys to the California Department of Consumer Fraud. Again, save yourself the money and the headaches and do your shopping somewhere else.

Got a 22r engine- should be one of the… Got a 22r engine- should be one of the toughest on the planet. Warranty for 6 months and 7 months later it blew a ring. Hadnt even put 500 miles on it. Took it to 3 diff. shops who all said the same thing= bunk engine. One shop even was kind enough to call their customer service for me and explain the situation to them. Weeks of back and forth with the them and NOTHING. NO refund, NO rebate, ZILCH, ZERO. EVEN IF I sent them back the engine and they determined it to be a failure on their part, toss off as it was out of warranty by 30 damn days! This POS even suggested I buy ANOTHER engine from them!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. %^!#&^*!&(*!#....

Told them my cars specific year model… Told them my cars specific year model and engine block. They gave me the wrong engine block from Europe that didn't has a knock sensor they assured me it wouldn't be a issue but the car can't pass smog. Totally took advantage of me. Be cautious with this company.
