GBFord 2004 2 wd drive Explorer Ford 2004 2 wd drive Explorer. Rebuilt transmission with two different shops for $5,000. Both failed. Ordered BestBuy remanufactured transmission for $2,300. Paid another mechanic $800 to install. Transmission from BestBuy arrived in 5 days. So far, after only 1,000 miles all is great. Lesson learned? Never goto a transmission shop who rebuilds transmissions. They only replace parts they think need replacement (to save them money, not you). BestBuy replaces all parts with either OEM or improved parts and cover with an excellent warranty. As stated, after 1,000 miles, all is great. Highly recommend!

GBPoor warranty service I’ve been waiting a week to hear from them regarding a very simple straight forward warranty claim. I called after three days and they sent me an email saying we’ll get back to you today or tomorrow morning that’s 4 days ago. Now when I call it goes to voicemail and the voicemail box is full. I run a small service business and have not been able to provide my customers any service or give them a date and time when I can. I’m forced to purchase a transmission from another company because I can’t afford to lose any more business.

GBPurchased a replacement transmission 2… Purchased a replacement transmission 2 years ago through Best buy. I have waited to write a review until I've been able to give the replacement a workout. I installed it myself, at a lower price and better warranty than if I were to purchase one from the dealer. We have also towed our camper, which is at the upper end of the towing limit for my truck, on 2 decently long trips with no incident. If I ever need another transmission, Best buy transmissions will be my first stop.

GBHorrible phone service Horrible phone service. I've been hung up on 3 times. Poor phone connection. Hard to contact company. Won't return calls or emails. What happens if I had a warranty issue. Not Good guys. Finally got a transmission ready to order. Guy said he would send invoice so I can pay for transmission and get it ordered. 3 days later no email. Yes. Checked spam and junk files. Nothing zip. Called back. After 3rd try got a hold of a lady who said she'd tell the guy to send my invoice. Gave my email address again. 2 days later still nothing. I ended up going to monster transmissions. I'd advise checking out monster transmissions. By far better customer experience hands down.
