Went in to replace my clutch Went in to replace my clutch. Other places I had called in to I felt were disingenuous about diagnosing the issue. I'd would call explain the problem (knowing it was more than likely the clutch) and other shops would try to get me to come in, and charge me to look at it. While I understand that it is a chore to diagnose a problem, this seems to be pretty apparent. Called Cottman up, told them what was happening, agreed it was probable the clutch and that they'd take a look at it without a charge. Got a quote that was cheaper than everywhere else because they didn't try to up sell me on anything. Got it fixed, ended up being a little cheaper than the quote. Few days later the automatic window feature on my driver's side wasn't working. Called them up, told them the problem and the tech on the phone just told me "Oh Yea, when you disconnect the battery on those cars you have to retrain it. Just do this..." Told me over the phone how to fix it and didn't ask me to come back in or charge me anything. Great place. Will go back when other issues arise in my car.

Excellent service and price Excellent service and price. We had our Buick transmission rebuilt for $4,200. The technician had excellent knowledge of the transmission and service needed. They gave us a range for the price and completed the job at about the middle of that range, which was considerably lower than what I had been quoted at another shop. Also, completed on time in a week. I would highly recommend Cottman's.

As a person in the automotive parts business I have had a lot of experience over the years with the good, the bad and the ugly in the automotive repair field. Cottman is the most honest repair shop… Cottman is the most honest repair shop in Beaverton. My transmission was jerky, running rough and the speedometer erratic. I thought the worst was in store for me like needing a new transmission. After diagnosis by Kevin he discovered it was just a loose wire. Cottman could have told me anything, but were honest and quickly fixed the minor issue at reasonable cost.
