GBI really hope this company goes belly… I really hope this company goes belly up. I have never been deceived more by a sales representative in my entire life, as I have with this company. All of the important information given by the representative has turned out to be lies or misleading. This is the second time I am writing about this company and I will continue to try and warn people of the lies that they decieve consumers with. Here are the items I was deceived about: 1. I was told by the sales person that I would not need to hold additional insurance on my homeowners policy since my solar system would not be large enough to require it. That was a lie and I had to carry an additional $1 million in liability. 2. I was told my system would be installed and running within 1 month and it took 6 months. They began charging me for the system before it was even producing energy. 3. I was told there would not be any out of pocket expenses but I was told by my electric company that I needed to pay to have the net metering device installed. 4. I was told that the whole incentive payment(tax credit)can be used to put toward the cost of the system or i could chose to keep it and use it as I wished. The sales man even went as far to tell me a story about a customer that used the credit to take a vacation. He told me that if I use the credit to pay towards the solar system, my monthly bill would remain the same. If I chose to keep the credit and not pay it towards the system, my monthly bill would go up depending on how much I decide to keep and that I had 1 year to decide how I would like to use the incentive payment. I found out when I filed my taxes that this is a tactic these companies use. The sales person was not only misleading but lied directly about the tax credit. There is no way to apply the credit towards the cost like he said and now I am stuck with a payment that went up an additional $200 per month. I will make it my lifes mission to expose this company for the liars and cheats they really are.

GBI had a bad experience with Momentum… I had a bad experience with Momentum Solar. Although the installation process went smoothly and the technicians were professional, our solar panels stopped working after only a year. We called a technician to take a look, and he found that the issue was with the backup battery system that had been installed by a different company. Momentum Solar voided our warranty simply because we did not purchase or install the battery system through them. They also demanded a $400 service fee before checking the system. However, we later discovered that our warranty had not been voided, as Momentum Solar had claimed. We ended up using another company to fix our problem.

GBI tried multiple times to set up an… I tried multiple times to set up an appointment, no one ever showed up. The last time they told me I was a high priority., Because they don’t need me clearly.

GBMomentum Solar failed to provide all… Momentum Solar failed to provide all the legal documentation on the day of their appointment to sell me a solar roof. ($62K plus for only 11 Kw system). Salesman insisted we would receive 20% of that back in cash from the IRS and not as a deduction. I then find I am asked to sign an agreement insuring this system for $1 million, allow the power company full access and have an extra $1000 tact on for power company inspection. Of course, I didn't sign it nor will I ever. Since the required legal documents have not been signed to complete a contract agreement. Momentum has started sending harassing letters threatening legal action as though they have a leg to stand on. Silly.

GBTHIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!!!! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!!!! The salesmen pretended to review our account statements from the electric company that we have (SECO), in order to draw up an “accurate” offer based on our average consumption. He lied to us stating that per our statements, our average was 10,253 kWh and he was going to install panels that would cover 10,590 kWh. According to this offer he developed, we accepted and signed. After the installation, we noticed that the panels were barely covering any of our consumption. We made several attempts to address this situation but we were just told to wait about a year to be able to see the benefits. It’s been over a year now and the situation has only gotten worse. We continue to pay the same amount on our electric bill from before the panels were installed PLUS the cost of the panels. This time we decided to contact SECO (our electric company) directly for help, and they told us that our consumption has always been 15,886 kWh, even prior to the panels. SECO explained that this would have been seen in our account statements that we provided the solar panel company. Therefore, the salesman falsified the consumption amount on our contract to provide a price that would get us to buy, knowing that this would not cover our consumption and we would be forced to pay more for additional panels in the end. Despite Momentum Solar having made this error on our contract, they continue to tell us that the only solution is to pay for more panels. Be very careful and do your research. There are a lot of great and genuine solar panel companies out there that are not trying to scam you, but once you sign with Momentum Solar you will be stuck and ripped off!!!!
