GBIntercontinental Mauritius heaven on earth! I really don't know where to start here but I'll give it a go. If you want a home away from home, 10 star service, amazing food plus much more then stay at the Intercontinental in Mauritius! I went with family last year then went back with my partner 6 months later because we loved it. Highly recommended the presidential suite, it is the best room in the hotel. It's very clean, the grounds are beautfiul and the whole experiwnce was made very special. The staff are amazing and treat you like royalty. The beach is not the best bit I will be going back again next year as it was truly unbelievable. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

GBCaution: IHG Hotels May Not Honor Online Booking Rates I want to share a critical warning with anyone considering booking with IHG Hotels Group, especially during promotional periods like Black Friday sales. My recent experience has raised serious concerns about their commitment to honouring the rates advertised on their own website. During a Black Friday promotion, I booked a room at an IHG property (Candlewood Suites Lake Mary) at a significantly discounted rate. However, just days before my scheduled travel, I discovered that the hotel had changed my booking rate without any prior notification to me. This change was not a minor adjustment but a substantial increase from the original promotional offer. What has been particularly distressing is the lack of communication from IHG. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this matter and engage with their customer service, the response has been far from satisfactory. It involved dealing with multiple case managers, yet the issue remained unresolved, leading to a great deal of frustration and inconvenience. This experience has been eye-opening and concerning. For those planning to book with IHG Hotels, particularly during sales or promotional events, please be vigilant. It appears there's a risk that the rate you book at may not be the rate you're ultimately charged, and getting the issue resolved may not be straightforward. I felt it necessary to share this experience to help others avoid similar situations. Always double-check your reservations, and be prepared to advocate for your rights as a consumer.

GBThere was bloody scabs and blood on the… There was bloody scabs and blood on the sheets. I checked in Candlewood Suites in O’Fallon, IL on 12/19/2019 around 1:30 am. My wife and I were tired after driving all day so we just went straight to bed. Around seven hours later at 8:00 am we woke up. At that time, we saw bloody scabs and blood on our sheets. It was not our blood neither one of us had any cuts. The room was not cleaned since the people before me were there. Everything was filthy dirty. I didn’t see the room earlier since I went right to bed. I don’t know if the persons blood had AID’s, Coronavirus, hepatitis, Tuberculosis, Malaria or a Plague. I have pictures that should be attached to this statement to show the condition of the room. I didn’t stay at the discount hotel across the street since I wanted to stay in a clean hotel. I couldn’t have been more wrong about Candlewood Suites being clean. I asked the manager to help me find out who the people were who rented my room last so I could call them and ask them health questions. I ask if she could just have them call me so she didn’t have to give me their phone number, she said NO. I asked for the main number for the IHG Executive Office to get in touch with somebody that would pay for my wife and I to get tested, she said NO. I asked for my money back for the seven hours I spent in the hotel, she said NO. She told me I needed to ask for a refund the same day that I checked in, not the next day. I kept telling her I checked in earlier that morning so this is the same day, she said NO. I turned on my phone video and she ran to get out of the room, ranting out of breath that I can’t take a video of her. She was hysterical after that. A young desk clerk just sat there smiling at her wicked drugged boss. I have now paid over $300 on blood test and my doctor wants me to take more including the Coronavirus Test since the first known case was November 17, 2019 my wife and I need to get tested. but I can’t afford them. Don’t stay here they don’t clean their rooms and they don’t care what happens. I want all my money back from Candlewood Suites will not reply to any of my communications. I would like to take more blood tests before it’s too late.

GBVery good customer service. Spoke to Vijay at the InterContinental London (The O2), regarding my booking for three deluxe rooms (taking the kids to see Ariana Grande and then spending the night). Wonderful customer service, answered all my questions in detail, referred me to his colleagues when required and offered direct follow-up if I needed to - nothing was too much trouble. Now that's customer CARE! (Some companies, once they get your money it's game over for you). Thankfully, this is NOT the case here.
