This is my first trip with Abercrombie & Kent This is my first trip with Abercrombie & Kent. I’ve been on several trips with National Geographic and loved those. I wanted to try a different tour operator and see how they compare to National Geographic. The trip is 2 months off and already I’m having my doubts. Multiple emails from different people asking for the exact same information, namely flight arrangements. I keep telling each person when I sent the requested information and to whom. Nothing much about the trip itinerary yet or who will be leading the tour. By now with National Geographic I would have had that information and would have been provided with a list of suggested reading materials to learn more about the tour destinations. So far, I’m less than impressed. This is supposed to be a top tier tour operator…they certainly charge top tier prices. Time will tell

Our trip to Spain and Portugal did not… Our trip to Spain and Portugal did not meet expectations. This was our first A&K trip. It did not compare favorably to our Tauck trips, Backroads, or even trips we planned ourselves and guides we hired. There were numerous disappointments that I won't even mention here. My husband and I both wrote to A&K and received no response. We didnt want anything from them...in fact we wouldn't take another trip with them if it was free. We were only trying to give some constructive feedback. I would be happy to go into more detail if anyone is interested.

Booked a flight on Emirates Airline… Booked a flight on Emirates Airline through them - espensive - had to cancel due to Covid - Promised refund in 6-8 weeks - now been over 10 weeks - agent says it is an "accounting issue" - manager no help. I'm sure Emirates refunded A&K - but A&K refuses to do as they promised and refund my money back to me. Very poor form

Wings over Mediterranean Sept 2022 Wings over Mediterranean Sept 2022. Other than the intra-city flights which were first class private jet, the rest was......average. Tour buses with windows too small to see any passing points of interest. A 250 sq ft "luxury" hotel room---thought I was in a Motel 8. Museum tours led by local experts who over-talked so long that they cut into anything that was planned for the remainder of that day. Restaurants....3 in particular very small, crowded, and not even remotely above average. Written itinerary says "and then return to your host city and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure." No way...we usually got back to the hotel around 5:30 after already passing up at least one planned exhibit. We had no special tour group privileges...we were just part of the pack and were overrun by tourists at every stop. $40,000 per person....a big huge "ouch"

.Refund of monies SCAM . June 1st, 2020 cancelled a trip to Egypt & Jordan due to COVID 19 concerns. To my great shock, I was told it would take 4-6 weeks for A&K to process the return of my monies (over $20K). Now I am not stupid....it does not take that long to enter my credit card in their machine and hit the button "refund money". I asked the agent if I was booking a new trip and needed to make the required deposit, how long would it take them to process my payment....her quick response was "oh, it would be done immediately!" The takeaway is that when A&K wants money...that transaction can be done immediately....but when the guest wants a return of their money.....gee that transaction takes 4-6 weeks. It is obviously NOT a priority to return money to a guest. It's best for them to have my money sitting in their bank account. You have to wonder....what else is not a priority for A&K?
