Our Alaska experience was wonderful Our Alaska experience was wonderful. The Golden Dome train exceeded expectations. I highly recommend it. The Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, the Lakefront Anchorage Lodge and the Harbor 360 Hotel in Seward were all great lodges, each with their unique ambience and spectacular views. The Denali Park Village hotel was good, but their shuttle was slow to pick up arriving passengers. Denali Bluffs Hotel was average. All three boat rides: Mahay's Jet Boat, McKinley Run and Kenai Fjords Natl Park Cruise were great -we highly recommend. And don't miss the tram ride in Girdwood. Thank you Explore Tours. My Nome and Teller Day Tour - local guide failed to show up. My Nome and Teller Day Tour, booked through Explore Tours was a complete failure because the local guide never showed up to pick me up at the predetermined start point and time. I contacted the local tour operator's office and found out that the guide had failed to notice my name on the tour manifest and had already left with the other individuals scheduled for the tour that day. He called me at the end of the day to apologize, which I appreciated. Though perhaps an honest mistake, it was complete failure on the part of the local tour operator to meet their contracted obligations and I expect a full refund for services not rendered.

Outstanding Experience We had an outstanding experience with our reservations made by Explore Tours. Everything went smoothly, and it was nice to have hotels and transportation already paid for.
