GBPatagonia, Iguazu, Buenos Airles We recently enjoyed a 3 week trip to Argentina & Chile. Two weeks was arranged through Wilderness Travel. Our focal point was Patagonia and the hotels, transfers and guides were very good. Patagonia was spectacular and Wilderness guided some good decisions, such as staying at Estancia Christina for 2 nights instead of one. The hotels were uniformly high quality. One part of the Patagonia hiking that could be improved is having a variety of hiking options. Our first day hike was more ambitious than some members of our foursome was expecting. We also did a two day trip to Iguazu Falls. We had the most outstanding guide of the entire trip. This is someone who loves sharing what he is most passionate about, and is a true naturalist. We had multiple trips to Buenos Aires since it's the transporation hub and no matter where your ultimate destination is you are always going back through Buenos Aires. The city is so spread out it's hard to get a sense of it if you are only there for one or two days.

GBAmazing Morocco Amazing Morocco It was an amazing trip where we were able to see varied geography and cultures from the Medina of Fex to the Sahara Desert to the High Atlas Mountains to the large city of Marrakech and to a seaside town of Essouria. Two highlights for us were riding camels and staying in a tented camp in the Sahara and four-wheel backroading in the High Atlas Mountains. We were also able to see how Berber Nomads lived. The entire trip was so fun and interesting and we had a truly amazing guide, Mohammed. This was definitely a 5-star trip!

CAAll of the off ship tours were extra &… All of the off ship tours were extra & this was an expensive trip to begin with. Have been on other trips where only exceptional tours are extra. The ship itself & all the people on it were wonderful.

GBA Small Group tour that focuses on regions outside the usual cities. A small group tour where you get to know everyone and learn a lot about the country from the guide. The tours focus on the countryside or more extreme adventures and mostly ignore the usual big-name cities. The guides work hard to make the trip enjoyable for everyone, even when plans change due to weather or other local conditions.

GBI have traveled with several travel… I have traveled with several travel companies and Wilderness Travel ALWAYS comes up as my number one travel company. The guides are knowledgeable, helpful, and experts in the history and customs of each place. I have found the guide truly "makes" the trip by introducing such a first hand depth of immersion into the city or country. A true appreciation makes each trip not only an adventure, but also a lifelong remembrance of the local people we have met.
