GBNo real compassion or understanding of my situation I contacted my local Salvation Army today in the hope of some help. I am 69, live on my own and only have state pension as income. I'm having to pay £482 monthly for external redecoration to my leasehold flat. I also have to pay £167 monthly service charge plus other priority bills etc. I also have 2 toilets that don't flush properly and I'm have to collect soiled toilet paper in plastic bags . No one should have to live like this. The Salvation Army said they couldn't help as they only do food parcels. They didn't even offer any advice and didn't seem to really care. They are supposed to be a Christian organisation but certainly didn't come across as very Christian

GBWILL NEVER AGAIN DONATE TO YOUR WOKE… WILL NEVER AGAIN DONATE TO YOUR WOKE CHARITY B.S. DISCUSTING..... There are Hundreds of postings from reliable sources on Google addressing The SALVATION ARMY'S Sic leftist woke view recommending white folks repent and apologise to black folk for racist oppression in the past. I HAVE NOTHING TO APOLOGISE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!! TAKE YOUR CHARITY, WHO I USE TO ALWAYS DONATE TO, AND STICK IT WHERE THE SUN DONT SHINE. What are you people thinking. Dahhhh...

GBRUDE Absolutely resent being told my sofa was grubby on the arms when it could have been sold over and over again but decided to give to a good cause, it was in excellent condition you need to give these obnoxious young lads customer training. It just felt he was doing me a favour and not me trying to help you raise money for charity. Used other charities before that were very appreciative. Sorry SA never again.

GBSalvation shop in Burbage Salvation shop in Burbage: clothes far too expensive for a charity shop. One staff in particular gets very funny when you return an item of clothing what can you do when thete are no changing rooms. This makes me feel very uncomfortable & guilty. I won't be going there again.

GBShocking prices often dearer than new… Shocking prices often dearer than new and staff attitude. They’ve got a guy at Berwick Salvation Army who values the stuff they get for free. Anything really valuable where does it go? Reportedly to an auctioneer in Alnwick I’m told. They get given three factory units that are filled basically with sh 1 t. Disgusting. We only use the Hospice charity shop in Berwick and the charity shop in Eyemouth by the pool.
