This service is a joke! I spent a lot of time on carsdirect.com selecting cars and options I wanted. I got really great target prices. However, I received so many calls and emails from dealers asking what I wanted and giving me prices way above what carsdirect.com listed. I called carsdirect.com to complain and ask if they sent these companies the information I gave them. I was told that it was just a referral service and a price to try to negotiate for the cars. They did not give the dealers all the information I had given them. It was just a waste of my time! I could have just called the dealer and requested the internet sales and gotten more information and not wasted all that time.

Dealers do not honor the prices posted… Dealers do not honor the prices posted on your site. I will never use CarsDirect again. I find that bait an switch is rampant on your site and I am complaining to the New Hampshire Car Dealer Board and the State Attorney's Office.

Excellent Company to go to When Car Shopping If you are looking for a car and aren't sure about where to start, CarsDirect.com is where you should go. They provide information on local prices, financing, insurance, deals and detailed reviews of the cars themselves so that you can get an idea of what is really best. They will get you a free quote from multiple dealers so that you can walk into a dealership informed and that alone can help save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars from a negotiating standpoint. Excellent company. Highly recommended.

Not given what I was promised and then ignored. I put a request into Carsdirect for a purchase of a new BMW 535. After some back and forth I was quoted a price and went for a test drive. When it came time for delivery of the car, I learned that my "new" BMW had almost 5000 miles on it. I also allowed Carsdirect to handle the financing which now has a loan amount of $500 over what it should be (the initial deposit wasn't figured in) I was told it would be corrected prior to me receiving my bill and I would get new documents to sign. I probably wouldn't be writing this review if someone had contacted me back after I told them what happened, but I am left to fend for myself between the credit card company that the deposit was on and the financing company. If it doesnt work out I will sue on principal. Thankfully, NJ has some great consumer fraud laws. The only reason I knew about this website was because I was going to give them a sterling review before I knew about the 5000 miles, but everything since then has been awful.
