Great Company Thank you for making your website easy to use and easy to understand. We like the policy choices you offer, and always choose the premium as one does not want to be stuck in a foreign country uninsured. Your service is wonderful and Generali is the only travel insurance we would buy.

I've used Generali Travel Insurance in South America and Japan I've used Generali Travel Insurance in the past. I like the website purchase as it is straightforward and displays 3 options with clear coverage. It only asked a few questions to filter the individual to the right product.

Generali did NOT cover what I… Generali did NOT cover what I understood them to cover. It took a great deal of time to find out how to talk with a live person and not a robot. They were NOT responsive in my requests to get help. I do NOT recommend this company for travel insurance.

Claims process Claims process: spent so much time upoading documents (as well as providing documentaion for follow-up requests)....claims rep does not respond to emails, nor return calls (we have left several messages), nor does claims rep supervisor. Our claim was closed (not paid) without any expanation and we don't know why. Even after we reduced the requested claim amount, as there was an issue with a credit (for air fare that was worthless 100 each, due to 150 each penalty to use it) showing on our Orbitz account. We then requested reimbursement for one night of hotel that we were charged (due to trip interuption - train transfer canceled due to land-slide). Every time we call we cannot talk to our claims rep or anyone in claims...a call-back was scheduled for last week but did not receive the call-back..We will be filing an official complaint with the NY department of insurance.

First Time to Use a Trip Insurance Policy My husband and I purchased trip insurance for a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Ten days before our departure, my husband was diagnosed with a medical condition that made traveling impossible. We submitted all the required paperwork and waited. Honestly, we expected to have to fight to have the policy pay for our non-refundable trip expenses. Two weeks later, we have received an email saying or claim was accepted. We are so relieved. Highly recommend!
