GBCIT rejected my application for a high rate savings I went on the internet to apply for an account 5 percent interest. I gave mother’s maiden name, SS, etc. i was sent an email saying i was rejected/. No reason, nothing? Unbelievable! Why waste the time filling in an application and receive a msg from CITY, am not acceptable? I have a credit rating of 840. Why is CIT bank doing with my personal info? Checking with the Better Business bureau, how they take personal info, and then send a rejection notice?

GBDid not receive a renewal notice for a… Did not receive a renewal notice for a cd which is required by law either by mail or email. They then renewed the cd which was paying 5% with one paying 0.3%. When I received a notice to this event which occurred on 2/3 which contains the date of 2/13 on their letter, and received by me on 2/28, they now want a penalty to redeem the cd. They are thieves.

GBSame problem as others in opening account Same problem as many have stated. They advertise high rates, but then deny application and will not state why ("could be poor credit score, poor banking history, etc" none of which are true). Came here to leave feedback and noticed the terrible views from actual customers. Feel as if I dodged a bullet!

MXgood rates, frustrating games it's true, they have the best rates- But their game is to not raise rates on existing accounts. So you have to pay attention and occasionally close and open a new account. Another game they play is delaying transfers. Using your money for a week or two before they give you access to it. My latest ACH transfer cleared my donor account- CIT is now promising it will be "available" in 11 days- Pretty sketchy. Give yourself two weeks transferring money in or out. Online access can be pretty frustrating convoluted security steps. I spend a lot of time on hold trying to get access, at least a couple times a year.

GBIt would be a better bank if they gave some updates This is your average online bank. There are many pros like high interests and very nice customer support. The only problem would be the lack of updates about my account when they are reviewing your account. Overall it's very good bank as long as you don't run into any account problems.
