GBRidiculous Match - Money grab based on hope? I would give zero if I could. UPDATE; Following this review I was contacted by the CEO(?) of the company based in Canada who was concerned about my review. Well done for the follow up - I expressed how hurt I had been and suggested changes to how post results. She asked me to add to my review following the call - I am a bit late but that is because I thought instead of being put throught the emotional turmoil I would employ an adoption tracing company - this cost a lot (money) but was emotionally totally different.

GBAmazing tool! I definitely give Adopted .com five stars for being such a great tool for adoptees and birth parents to be able to easily use and search for their loved ones. Just put it in the information on your profile that you know, however limited it may be, and the site matches you to others that have uploaded profiles with matching or similar content! I did not know about this site when I was searching, but I now would recommend it to anyone who still is. I have successfully used it to help a friend find her child who was adopted. Once you send message, they have an advanced system that continues to let the connection know via email and other contact info you provided at sign up. It truly is very easy and invaluable in my opinion!

GBReunited with my Birth Daughter! This site led to me reuniting with my birth daughter. She posted on a facebook forum and I had my profile in this forum for a few years. A person that saw my profile and her post linked us together. We were in contact within five days after my BD put her search post out there. She lives fairly close, we have already met in person and talk every day. She has quickly developed a close relationship with myself and my two older adult children. Do NOT give up! Keep your profiles active with as much information that you have about the adoption! It was the non identifying info shared that stuck in the mind of the person that came across the both of us and led to our reunification. I never, ever thought this would happen....and it was WELL worth it.

GBI found her!!! A friend recommended that I join this site when she learned that I was searching for a daughter I'd given up for adoption. When I created my profile, I found 6 potential matches. I sent messages to all 6 and got 2 responses. It took about 2 years because I was not a frequent visitor of the site. Of the 2 responses, 1 was definitely not a match. The other had basically the same information that I had surrounding the adoption. Which was minimal to say the least. We then decided that she would take a DNA test. I'd already taken mine. And the results were a match. According to DNA analysis, parents and children share approximately 50% of DNA. My daughter and I share 46.5% of our DNA. It's a match. I am very grateful that she was looking for me at the same time I was looking for her. Or I may not have ever found her. Thank you Adopted.com for making this happen.

GBGrateful for a whole family. I was able to connect with a half sibling who used Adopted.com to find our shared biological parent who then helped us reunite and put us in contact! I was unsure how to even start looking for a sibling whose birth information I really didn't have, meanwhile he was out there already doing the work. I'm grateful services like this exist to help make these reunions possible.
