About Boxbee

History Established in 2012 in San Francisco. Boxbee won the biggest business competition in tech, LAUNCH, whose previous winners include Dropbox and Mint.com. We were recently chosen as one of 2013's best start ups by Business Insider. Boxbee Storage is also a Google Ventures company. Today we are located in both San Francisco and New York and store thousands of cherished items for people and businesses, allowing people to move or store their stuff in our boxes with efficiency and ease. Business Owner Kristoph Matthews founded Boxbee in 2012 to fill a huge need for smarter and alternative storage for urbanites. Growing up, Kristoph's family relocated 22 times to places like Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the US. Witnessing disappointing experiences with storage throughout his life -- Kristoph was compelled to find a more efficient, simple and secure way to store, retrieve, and move personal items. Prior to Boxbee, Kristoph has founded and worked at many early-stage startups, in addition to larger companies in tech.

Don't trust them with your stuff They really suck. Don't trust them with your stuff. My boxes arrived on time. I packed them. They picked them up. That's about all that went right. Their email system messed up and sent me packing instructions 2 weeks after my items were already picked up. I ended up with a bunch of serial numbers for my boxes but no pictures, so I couldn't figure out which was which. Customer service was really slow. After several weeks of back and forth, they agreed to send my boxes back to me so I could re-inventory them. When the boxes arrived, one was missing. I checked my account and there was 1 fewer box than I had sent them. I'm trying to get the situation resolved. No idea if they'll be able to track down the missing box. Fortunately it was something replaceable, but many of my items weren't - I had stuff from my wedding, plates from my grandmother, etc. What if they had lost those? They offer wardrobe boxes, but don't ship or store them correctly. When I opened the wardrobe box, half of the clothes were in a pile on the floor. They had definitely been turned sideways (the boxes are labeled with an "up" arrow).

Stash your yarn! Boxbee is awesome for sorting and prioritizing my knitting and crochet projects. In the knitting world there are tons of jokes about where to hide your out of control stash~Boxbee to the rescue! Plus more room in the house for my current projects and I love knowing my supplies are organized and ready to come back whenever I need them.

Boxbee magic? What better magic than Boxbee's making objects disappear and re-appear (no effort required!) hmm. Maybe the service could be improved. How about yellow Boxbee limousines for carting off spouses to graze when they're in the way?

A great business to use for anyone living in the city! Boxbee is convenient, reliable and the employees are extremely nice! Boxbee is perfect for anyone living in SF, as apartments and living spaces are smaller than the norm here. Storing your stuff does not need to be a headache, just use Boxbee!!

Store like a Boss! I love how in control I feel with boxbee. I can get whatever I need almost whenever I need it. Very useful service when you have a lot of things you need to get across town. Cheaper than renting a Van.
