DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!!!! I have moved several times but I have never had an experience like I just had with Easy Road Movers. I was moving my 87 year old mother from a residence in Florida to a senior citizen residence in Yonkers. First I was given an estimate for the move. After the truck was loaded, the price more than doubled. Because this was an interstate move, the items were placed in storage until a truck could be filled. When the furniture was delivered 3 weeks later, the truck showed up 2.5 hours later than expected, demanded full payment before they would even open the truck, multiple items were irreparably damaged, the furniture was dumped into the new residence without unpacking or unwrapping heavy furniture, the delivery persons refused to reassemble items or put heavy items in their proper places and then after 2 hours, claimed hunger and had to leave. They even refused to break down a wardrobe box so that I could retrieve items from the bottom of the box. Not only did they leave the apartment a mess, they left debris and garbage in the apartment and the hallway of the building.

DO NOT USE EASY ROAD MOVING AND… DO NOT USE EASY ROAD MOVING AND STORAGE!!! NOT at all a professional moving company. Move from FL to MD. Booked the move through Vanity Van Lines - figured that was who was conducting the move. Easy Road moving shows up on 2/10 - late in the day, packed items; re-boxed items throwing items into larger boxes. I had exact box count - which for the movers didn't appear to needed. Cubic feet is what was needed. We left things behind. They didn't have the list of items - Vanity sent over another list, they didn't get it, used the list I had. Pounding boxing around nothing professional about loading the items. Also, didn't realize items were going to be delivered to a WH in Miami to then get loaded into a truck at a later date for delivery. Get to MD deliver 16 days later, driver shows up LATE, by himself, states helpers are on the way. Never show, he starts unloading small boxes waiting for helpers, never show, has to come back next day, LATE, helpers finally show, find out they are not "professional movers" but are landscapers, to which you could tell. Many items busted up; furniture broken; boxes wet and smashed. You are at their mercy nothing can be done. They charge you more then what was agreed upon. You accept your broken items - they leave. File a claim through third part claim company, to only receive letter that explains nothing of how they determined the amount of $75 to be sent to me - after missing extra day of work; receiving extra charges; receiving broken items. We the customer are at the their mercy. They win. If you want something done right do it yourself, don't pay someone thousands of dollars it is so not worth it - this company was so not worth it. Stay clear of them; Stay clear of Vanity Van lines.

Thankful Wanted to share my experience with Easy Road Moving and Storage. I used them last minute when my movers did not show up. I had reserved my truck over a month prior with the first company. I had the apartment complex elevator reserved. I put effort into being prepared and I was left panicked. I called about 7 other companies immediately and unfortunately there were no trucks available. One of the company’s representatives recommended trying Easy Road Moving and Storage. I called them immediately and Empathized the urgency of my situation. They were my miracle. The dispatcher had the movers come to my house the next day at 7am. I had a two bedroom apartment which was mostly packed by myself. The movers did box up my flat screen television and a full length mirror. They wrapped my sofa with blankets. The crew manager was very nice and polite. I thanked them tremendously. The movers dropped off all my stuff the next week. It was kinda like having my own interior decorators because they placed my sofa and furniture where I wanted. That really made my new house into a home. The mirror and television were in one piece! I wanted to share this positive experience because it is hard to find a reliable company that puts pride into their work. I am truly grateful for this company’s professionalism and efficiency.

***Do NOT hire Easy Road*** It would be a disservice to my community, if I don’t share the nightmare I experienced with this company. Easy Road picked up my belongings on Sunday December 19th, 2021. I finally received it in pieces, 2 months later on February 18th, 2022. I was charged for things themselves admitted not to have used. My furniture is in pieces, incomplete. Unable to be assembled because of the missing parts. To the point that the delivery crew, (a different company because Easy Road won’t be the one one delivering your stuff), had the need to hand write that the bed and desk are not available to use because it can’t be assembled for missing parts. They also had to write that the dresser has a hole and scratches “bookcase is missing screw” They had to write all that at the bottom of the delivery inventory sheet. I wish I could upload photos for you to see the mattress, metal and pieces of wood all part of the bed leaning agains the wall in my apartment. The guy giving you the quote will be nice and helpful to you until you signed the contract. After that, when you really are in need of his help, all you will get from him will be an automatic reply “I am out of the office this week. Please contact customer care at 954-323-8181” He won’t even answer his direct line. Meanwhile, the “customer care” area, has not knowledge of the meaning of customer service. I was told, “I’ll find out about your truck and I will call you back.”, but the call was never returned. Instead, they hanged-up on me numerous times. I even wrote an email to the admin, but they never had the decency to reply. In short, keep looking. This company should change its name to Easy Road to a Nightmare.
