You can sear in them, they are relatively nonstick and you do not have to baby them. You can use metal tools, etc. Plus they clean up easily and beautifully with the abrasive cleaners (like Brillo) that it is safe to use on them.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE One of our pans developed a crack in one of the handles. With a total of 3 emails, and three pictures HexClad handled it under warranty and are shipping me a replacement pan. Best customer service I have ever worked with. If only others would learn how they do it.

Still like new I've had these pans for almost a year and besides a few marks they look new. We cook everything at home and never hand wash so these pans really hold up.
