GBTom Salta's Scoring AAA Deathloop Ed. Tom Salta's Scoring AAA Deathloop Ed. In the 8 hours or so of videos, Tom goes through his process of analysis, understanding and the methodology behind scoring the game Deathloop. Beginning with his in-depth review of the brief and the references he used, he brings us into his mind and pieces together how and why he created the score the way he did. I was blown away by the amount of detail involved in the arrangements of the musical cues, but also by Tom's focus on having the right sounds be in the right places to let the player know what is going on at the different times within the game. Additionally, I was very impressed with the amount of detail he went into explaining the different in game music for the different levels as well as the individual music for the main characters. As a welcome bonus Tom talks about the Session Musicians he used for the game and the reason why it's so important to partner with other musicians and composers. This really showcases that the ability to work as a team can produce results greater than we can individually. This not only goes for the Musicians that Tom worked with, but also the engagement with the development team throughout the process. Lastly the course rounds out with Tom's approach to deliverables, implementing Quality Control into the process and his strategy for outputting the music. It was time really well spent, and honestly, I've gone through the videos twice already... and will probably go through them a bit more to try and squeeze out as much knowledge and insights as I can. Thank you for sharing your insights, thought processes and the approaches you used. Leo
