CAAlibris and their sellers make it right. Out of perhaps 200 transactions through Alibris I have only experienced 3 problems. Each time I contacted Alibris and then the seller involved, the seller then provided a satisfactory solution, for me, for the problem.

GBI paid for new books from them I paid for new books from them. According to the tracking info from the shipping company, the label was created, but the package was never received by the shipping company. I never received the items I ordered, and Alibris stated that, "They must have been lost in the mail." They have refused to issue a refund or ship the items I ordered. I now have to get legal involved just to get a refund.

GBWish their shipping department was better trained I was so disappointed and saddened to receive the three books I ordered, and the two hardcovers (which were gifts) were damaged so much that I had to return them. They were packaged in a box with barely any padding--just a strip of sealed air pouches on top--so the books slid around and the corners of the box got crushed, crushing the books at the same time. It is such a waste of new books and resources. I hope that Alibris trains their team better so that this doesn't happen again. I ended up buying from a local bookstore to make sure I could get the books in good condition.

GBA goldmine for lost treasures! Saw the movie 40 yrs ago, but had been unable to find the sci-fi novel it was based on, Robert Merle's 'Malevil,' anywhere (not even on Amazon's French site), so was truly grateful to have found a copy in the original French on Alibris. Wow! Received the book a mere few days after ordering. Alibris = treasure! Merci beaucoup!
