1st Dibbs will not help you if the seller misrepresents the item. I bought a 115 piece set of silverplate flatware. The pictures were lovely and the seller communicated that the set was in good condition. When it arrived, 19 pieces looked to have been scrubbed with an abrasive pad so aggressively that they are beyond repair. Most of the damage is to the expensive serving pieces. Customer service responded to my initial request for a return based on the damage. Then, nothing… they refused to answer any emails. Not until I filed a dispute with my credit card company did they respond to me. Now they are offering a return if I pay $230 for the return shipping. They are protecting the “Platinum” seller all the way. They want me to mark “buyers remorse” as the reason for the return. They are also telling me it is the sellers choice to offer a return or not. They are obviously applying no pressure to the seller and no consequences for selling damaged goods. Let the buyer beware! If I could give 0 stars, it would be more than they deserve.

March 1 order still not delivered by April 30 -- Scam! I ordered a coffee table on 1st dibs on March 1. the item is still not delivered and they are fighting a refund. I would not purchase from the site again.

I'm so happy that I bought this, and intend to shop again and again from this seller. The item arrived on time, well packaged and more beautiful in person than the pictures could do justice. 100% a positive experience with this seller. Highly recommend.

Rare and Authenticated Found a rare item in pristine condition. Seller had five stars and was worth every star. I got a certificate of authentication along with my purchase. A seller on another site tried to convince me such a thing is rare for antiques. Don't settle.
