20% more expensive than WalkinLab Haven't used them, hence the default 3/5 rating, which means they're an okay business. Here's what's not exactly okay: 1. The "$200 off on the first order" deal actually consists of seven $25 coupons that are granted over 7 years, IF you read the fine print. Obviously, getting $200 off your first test could easily mean a free test, so they don't do that. But they bait you with "Get $200 with your 1st order". 2. Prices are simply 20%+ higher than those of WalkinLab, or DiscountedLabs, for any test you want to compare. For instance, SHBG costs $59, but only $49 at WalkInLab. Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy LC/MS/MS costs $69, vs. $49 at WalkInLab. Both use Quest, and these are prices before discounts. 3. PrivateMDLabs has a link to their 5-star ratings on Google Maps, but the location of that "business" is somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. What's up with that? Based on these observations, I don't really see a reason to use PrivateMDLabs instead of WalkinInLab. I do see that PrivateMDLabs has replied to reviews here, and I appreciate that. Happy to revise my review in light of convincing information I might have missed.

Quick and easy way to monitor My testing allowed me to avoid a trip to my doctors and verify that my bloodwork was still in my normal range. I was able to schedule it easily, although the nearest Quest Lab was 40 miles from me as most have closed nearby me. Once I was able to locate the nearest open Quest Lab, it was simple to schedule and get my results in a timely fashion.

I very much appreciate the research & articles! I very much appreciate many of the recent & relevant research done & articles that are published here. I’ve learned facts that I’m surprised I hadn’t known before, having been in the mental health field for a good part of my life. As I age, there are many more areas of health that need to be given adequate attention, which is a drag because it used to be so much easier to look & feel decent. Now it requires more time & attention to stay on top of good health! But, I’m keeping up! I only suggest that test prices try to be kept at a reasonable price. Most of us have Medicare and a secondary insurance, so it’s tough to come up with large sums, if on a fixed or limited income. Too bad, since I appreciate all the relevant, different, thorough & extensive testing done at the labs. I’d do all of them, if I could, since I’m on Wiley Protocol & taking several other supplements, vitamins & total amino acids, and I still do extensive stretching & exercise, at least 2-3 hours, 4+ days/week with Pickleball, hiking, biking, etc. And, we do 2 mile walks after dinner every night at nearly 69 yrs.

Take labs into your own hands When you want or need lab work that your physician won't get you, or maybe you want to know the result before anyone else has to know, this is a great option. It's convenient (easy setup, then lab draws anywhere there's LabCorp or Quest), and fast, and reasonably priced. I've used them a dozen times or so over the years.

The requisitions and results come in quickly and prices are reasonable.
