Impressive piece of open source software with premium customer support eXo platform is an open source software serving as company social network, wiki and collaboration platform. Seems to me as an alternative to Microsoft Sharepoint. eXo is also an organization that offers premium paid, profesionally supported version of eXo that can be either hosted on Amazon cloud (with pay-per-user model) or on-premise version. We are currently in the process of evaluating the on-premise version on our testing VPS (3 core Xeon, 4 GB RAM, OpenVZ container with Scientific Linux 7). Installation was really quick - just unpack the zip and start the script as a regular user, within 2 minutes the interface is available on port 8080. Add few minutes setting up nginx as a reverse proxy and adding the start script to be run on boot or reboot and you are ready to be using the on-premise version - fast. There are some imperfections in the Czech language translation of the UI and some minor bugs with international characters that are not treated correctly in some fields, but generally most functions work well (in our test environment, where not much data is there yet.) A minor issue is that the VPS we use (4 GB RAM is the minimum spec for eXo) seems a little underpowered. If trying to access something that is not cached at the moment it takes a few seconds to load.

Very Convienent I find this platform for a freelance developer like myself convenient as I work with numerous computers and need to develop new features at any moment. Good Work to all the developers. Really useful software to use.

An amazing platform to be a part of I recently had the pleasure of joining the eXo platform and I must say, it has been a game changer for me. One of the things I love about eXo platform is it's user-friendly interface. Navigating through the platform is a breeze, and I can easily access all the features I need with just a few clicks, everything is intuitive and straightforward. I highly recommend this platform!

The best I found till NOW!!!!!! eXo provides a lot of interesting features centered about collaboration and content with social capabilities. It makes team work much more efficient. pen Source software is mandatory for us. I was despairing to find a good social collaboration platform, when I found eXo. What a blast! It's a modern collaboration platform packed with feature. I also like the fact that our developers will be able to extend it.

Good When we transitioned from a traditional top-down communication intranet to eXo, we doubled the traffic. Since then, many employees are starting their own spaces for mini projects or spare time activities. It really had a social effect on our company!
