GBAllow us to choose UPS over FedEx I don’t think I have a chance to choose the shipper, but when wine.com uses FedEx, the delivery experience is terrible. They tried to deliver to my home while I was working in the basement. They waited 35 seconds before leaving as recorded on my Ring, before I could get there to receive the wine. Then I tried to “manage” the order from their text link, which did not work. I was leaving for spring break the next day, so I logged in with my FedEx.com account and set a vacation hold for the week. Yet they tried to deliver two more days, and I’m certain I’ll have to go somewhere far away to retrieve the wine which now sits in an unknown location.

GBI was selecting wine as a gift to a very particular wine lover. I was selecting wine as a gift to a friend who has serious taste in wine. He likes particular Italian wines. Not being a wine connoisseur, I was able to select the region and find many choices from which I selected several bottles in my price range and felt comfortable with my purchase since the wine was so clearly identified by taste, etc. I will find out if I made a good choice at some future time.
