CATheir ordering site is not friendly and… Their ordering site is not friendly and confusing. They don't answer their phones and promise a call back within 30 minutes. That call back never happens. Set it up twice and no call back. Contact them via chat to ask for a change of address due to their badly designed ordering page and refuse to change the order address or cancel the order. There are many other gift basket companies out there. Avoid this one. They don't understand what customer service is.

CAAwful Experience - Do Not Recommend To say that I would NOT recommend this company would be an understatement. I ordered the Craft Beer Subscription as a Christmas gift for my father, after researching dozens of options from various companies. I chose this particular subscription because I liked how you could customize the timeframe and quantity, and I knew my father would appreciate the additional details included in the subscription (from the website: "Each subscription package includes handy cards with information regarding the beer, the brewery, tasting notes, and even a recommended song pairing. These cards are designed to be collected and cataloged so you can keep track of newly expanded collection and particular favorites."). After receiving the first shipment, we were left disappointed and underwhelmed. Included in the shipment were four cans of beer - not bottles as the website suggests. Two of the four cans of beer were also the same, defeating the purpose of trying a variety of unique beers. And finally, the shipment was missing the info cards that were supposed to be included. I immediately emailed the company to explain the situation and ask what could be done. I let them know that I don't generally make complaints, but since it was a special gift for my dad (and also an expensive subscription), my expectation was that he would receive the gift as described on the website. My hope was that perhaps they would ship out the information cards to complete the order, and provide clarification about the lack of variety in the beer. I emailed back and forth with customer service, but my questions were not addressed or answered, and absolutely no solution was provided. Rather, they apologized for the "inconvenience" of the incomplete box they sent out, but could not guarantee that future shipments would arrive in full. They explained the lack of variety, by saying that the website does not specifically state that there wouldn't be repeats within the subscription. While I was unimpressed and frustrated with this email exchange, I decided to wait until the second shipment before raising any more concerns. I was hoping that the remaining shipments would arrive as advertised. Unfortunately, this did not happen. The second shipment was due the first week of February, and by the middle of the month I was back in contact with customer service to inform them that it never arrived, and to ask when it could be expected. Much like the first email exchange, there was no accountability taken by the company for this issue. They made a point to say that the fault lies with their fulfilment center, who were experiencing high volumes and backlog. They could not give any indication on a timeframe for the shipment, and they offered to refund the value of the undelivered items. I told them that I would wait for a bit longer, because my father had been so excited about this gift, and I really wanted him to enjoy it. The third box was due the first week of March. Neither the second (February) shipment, nor the third (March) shipment ever arrived. At that point I had enough, and I requested a refund for the two boxes that were never received. I did receive a refund the following week. To me, the value of this subscription box would have been the opportunity to try a variety of unique beers, as well as the opportunity to learn about the beer & breweries. Unfortunately, the product fell short - the one box that did arrive was either incomplete or falsely advertised from the start. Dealing with customer service was an unpleasant experience, and the lack of effort to resolve concerns was both frustrating and disappointing. For reference, I ordered a 3 month subscription, with 4 beers to be delivered each month. The total cost of this was $115, with free shipping on the first box and additional $20+ shipping fees for each month after that. Needless to say, I would not recommend ordering from this company. I had read some Google reviews before ordering, and I was hoping to post my experience there as well. However, it appears that they have since removed themselves, as I am not able to rate or review the company through Google anymore. Hopefully anyone who is thinking about ordering from North Pole Company will find this and be spared the frustration.
