The Freezefest organization is the brainchild of Society of Slushii Discord server administrator Louis starting in 2020 with the onset of the Covid-19 global pandemic. The lack of in person music festivals sparked the need to bring the community together through other mediums and virtual interactive environments were the perfect candidate. Since then, the Freezefest organization has hosted numerous large scale virtual 3D interactive events on a variety of platforms such as Roblox, Minecraft, and Mozilla Hubs as well as streaming on Twitch and Youtube for hundreds of viewers.
