GBStunningly unhelpful Stunningly unhelpful. Beyond annoying. Is there any way to make it stay away from my searches? That I might even pay for?

GBBAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD - Ask took over my browser. I am sure it was my fault. Perhaps I was too quick to click OK when I was downloading something else. But it was like a virus took over. Not only was it now my default search engine, but I was unable to choose any other search engines. All the choices went away, no other engines in the drop-down, restore button grayed out, add new search engine disabled, the works. Had to contact support to fix it. Now this is making me question my browser, how could it be that vulnerable? So often the internet makes me sad thinking of all the evil people out there trying to rip me off or just cause me headaches for fun. Oh, also, WORST SEARCH ENGINE EVER! - The results were like the opposite of what I was actually looking for. And way too many of the sites listed were irrelevant and trying to sell something instead of give me the information I needed. It's just the kind of stuff that make you fell icky and violated. Plus, the help link at the bottom of the page, not working. ASK SUCKS BIG TIME!

GBGot a question - you only have to Ask! I find a lot of useful information on this site. As I run a charity quiz I like to double check any subjects I may set as questions and find Ask is an invaluable source of information. Even if it is something that has been lost in my memory, I can put a generalization in and Ask can find it. As a pensioner it helps with my decreasing brain cells! For information and general browsing I can highly recommend Ask.

GBI have used ask.com for years and find… I have used ask.com for years and find it very helpful. I have there search engine as my homepage and find that it’s better than google tracking me constantly.

GBDON'T DO IT! DON'T DO IT! I did the 7 day trial. I called to cancel within the 7 days. Whoever I was talking to asked me for my info, she said she couldn't verify me and that she would look into it and call me back. I still haven't heard back until I looked at my bank statement and noticed they're charging me $74.00. Oh course they won't give me a refund.
