About talech

talech is a simple yet powerful point of sale software for restaurants, retail outlets and service businesses such as salons and spas. talech POS software does the basics like processing payments reliably to inventory management, table management, labor management and real-time analytics. It all adds up to streamlining time-consuming tasks and freeing up time to focus on the things that make the difference to your business.

Open orders not paid to our account. Where's the money? Talech has a category on their device called open orders. These are transactions that have not been paid to our bank account. Customer service could not answer why the money was not paid to our account. We were asked to go to our bank branch. Our bank branch did not have any answers to why the money was not credited to our bank account. They only recommended to write down every customer's name that comes in our business. Record keeping of transactions disappear, so you need to keep printing every transaction daily, or you will lose records. We switched over to Chase and we are thankful we made the change. I do not recommend this fraudulent company to anyone.

AVOID THEM PLEASE AVOID THEM PLEASE Awful customer service. Machine has broken down multiple times, many features don't work. New 'updated' version of their website is horrendous. The customer service is a joke - they say they have tried to call when they haven't, say 'everything is fine now' when they have fixed nothing at all nor contacted us. AVOID THEM PLEASE

Beware of Talech, honesty coming from a sales agent... As a in independent Talech sales agent I have first hand witnessed the debacle that Talech has become, especially since the pandemic. I have heard dogs barking in the background, screaming kids, television sets blaring and dishwasher or laundry running over the past year, nearly every single call I place to Talech. Not only that, but my clients have hold times for up to an hour, get transferred constantly or given wrong information, just to get my clients off the phone. This typically results in me driving out to the business and placing the call to Talech myself and going through the same painful mess if nonsense that my clients are going through. I love Elavon (the processor that owns Talech) but I will never ever sell another Talech system as long as I'm in business.

The only thing Talech is consistent with is being a complete failure to retailers who rely on them. A complete failure time and time again. They are actively damaging my relationships with my clients by sending them unauthorized emails 3-4 in as many minutes every day now. They lied about fixing it, so I assured my clients it was done with. They then lied about a work around, and now they tell me they don't know when it will be fixed. They made me a liar to my clients, and it's not the first time.

Bad support The software - when it's working, does a fine job. Tech support, on the other hand, is horrible. They say they have 24X7 support, but anything that actually NEEDS support is a 48 hour response time. A menu update done by tech support screwed up, and we were then told, oh well, we did that on Friday night, now you have to wait until Monday before anyone might be able to address the issue. Complete insanity to allow an entire business to be shut down for the weekend. That's NOT 24X7 support.
