GBI used Payrent for a year and always… I used Payrent for a year and always seemed to have an issue setting up renter for one reason or another seems I was on the phone every month. What was the last straw is that Payrent is suppose to be a "rental" platform and their initial interface has all the appearances. The thing that lured me into signing up with them to process rent payments for me was the ACH transfer option that would not create a charge back, and to restrict partial paynents which caused a lot of problem using Zelle, But come to find out if the renter bounces an ACH (e-check) rent payment, Wepay sends me and the tenent a email informing us the E-check rejected for insufficient funds and get this, instructed the tenant to just submit another E-check are you kidding me!!!!! I was not consulted or asked if I wanted to accept another E-check and why in the world would anyone expect a different outcome but now they had another receipt they paid rent which meant I couldn't even do a 5 day pay or quit and I have to wait another week (5-7 days) to find out it bounced again to wind up giving the tenant even more unpaid rent time impeding my ability to take action. This was a vacation rental and the renter was a 62 yr old women RN traveling nurse! I know she used this platform to defraud me and get the keys under false pretences as she showed me she made the payment on payrent.com and her bank would have notified her of her insufficient funds, but not a word to let me know of course. I didn't know they had not verified the funds when you subitted the payment. Payrent also made the landlord account manual on just how payments are processed available to renters to view and figure out how long it takes for landlords to receive funds or be notified of NSF and use that information to scam the landlord with. I asked that not be made available to renters as it's not information they should have and they refused siting they wanted to be transparent with all parties, but I'm the client I thought! or am I! But when I go so does the renter business too! This is built on a retail vendor business model and that doesn't work for me. I'm done !

GBAvoid this company . . . my money was taken My renters and I both set our bank accounts up with PayRent for monthly ACH transfers. After taking four days for the money to be withdrawn from my renters' account, WePay (the financial service used by PayRent) sent me an email to notify me that my account was now closed, with no explanation why. They also notified me that they would need to hold the $3500 (rent and security deposit) they had withdrawn from my renters' account for 120 days for further review. They never provided any service for me, and only took my money. I think this may be a SCAM. There is no way to contact them by phone, and no way for me to get my money back. AVOID USING THIS COMPANY!

GBWaiting for refund. I signed up with PayRent.com around February 10, 2023 with the hopes of getting rent payments processed thru that program. From the information online, it seemed to be a legitimate business. I saw that they use WePay, Inc., (which was owned by J. P. Morgan Chase) and so I created an account with them as well. The tenant signed up February 15th, 2023 and made a payment for the first month's rent on February 21 thru PayRent.com. We both received emails that the payment was made and accepted and that everything would process within a few days. (There was no indication of any problem at all.) On February 22, I received an email that my account was a "high risk" account, my account was closed, and the payment would be refunded. (The tenant had already moved in, of course.) The tenant's payment went thru very quickly. The tenant received an email saying that the money would be refunded within 3-5 business days. WePay, Inc. should not have taken any money until they were sure everything was approved. We are currently waiting on the money to be refunded.

GBNever use "pay balance due" My landlord just switched to a new mgmt company and this site is what we were told to use now. This is my 1st ever account and payment with this site and everything was a nightmare. 1st) it took multiple attempts to get my account activated. 2nd) and MOST critical. When I set up the account. The mgmt company said the current months rent is added to the "due on account" ledger automatically (failed to notify me), but it did not show when making my 1st ever payment. So when I scheduled my payment for the balance due, which showed was my rent for July only. The system automatically added in the previous month's as past due after i submitted the payment because I didn't pay online when setting up the account in June. This was not listed as a past due on website. Otherwise I would have NOT used the pay balance option. So now my daughter and I are out a couple thousand dollars until they return my money. Leaving my bank overdrawn, car loan unpaid, no food and no money for the holiday.
