SQL Shades is a game-changer! SQL Shades has been a game-changer for my daily workflow in SSMS. It's refreshing to see such an impactful solution to a long-standing issue, Microsoft was not able to implement until today. Kudos for your dedication! Absolutely a must-have for any SSMS user (who loves a real dark mode)!

For any real developer spending time in SSMS (or with it windowed), the incessant glare of white real estate -- a "dark theme" oversight -- is an irritation that turns quickly to a headache. SQL Shades is a perfect solution: It just works. Even better, it's free (without nags)! Nevertheless I found it so useful, I donated "a coffee." The developer, Michael Van Devender, is friendly and responsive to user issues -- and proactive in development. I only just upgraded to v20 and his SQL Shades already supported it.

Pleasantly dark experience with SQL Saves my eyes from straining while editing SQL. I am surprised MS does not have a dark mode yet but SQL Shades saves the day!
