Techsmith deleted all our videos. Techsmith deleted all our videos....We are a small educational organization that made some interactive videos with Camtasia. Because they used interactive features, we hosted them on techsmith's website. During the pandemic they sent us a message saying that all videos that hadn't been accessed in a year would be deleted. We thought we were fine because there are teachers who use our videos every semester. Then they deleted the videos anyway. When I contacted customer support, they told us there was nothing they could do. Bottom line: don't trust TechSmith to host your videos.

Perfect customer support I am a happy customer for 8 years (Camtasia and Snaggit). Unfortunately my computer broke down. I contacted customer support to re-activate my account on another device -my bad: I did not have the correct details anymore- . The support was fast, clear and very helpfull. Eventually all has been solved - and in such a nice way that I felt it is worth mentioning. Thanks Mark!

Camtasia 2023 crashes on AMD constantly. I've been a Camtasia user now for several years and pay for their maintenance service (for free updates). Honestly, it's an excellent video editor for ease of use. However, even after several updates the current edition (2023), is a lag and crash fest on my AMD 7800X3D powered, 64 GB, RTX 3090. Just a few assets on the timeline causes freezes, and then crashes. I'm fortunate that being a long time customer I still have access to some previous editions, so I'm stuck using Camtasia 2022, which is running perfectly for me. Techsmith also seem to ignore, or even delete, forum messages reporting this issue. They deleted my forum posts when I report these problems, so they try to cover this up.

I have spent 10 years working with… I have spent 10 years working with company. The software is horrible. They sold me on their latest version the 2023 application because the other version kept crashing. What a waste of money and time! Camtasia crashed 15 times and I can’t open the project. They couldn’t restore it. I wasted months getting this done. I’ve spent 24 hours working on this (only getting 3 hours of sleep) only for the new version that I just paid for to crash yet again and now I am out of weeks worth in of content. I should have stuck with Premier Pro! Do not use this company unless you want to lose important information, especially if you are a business.
