CACustomer is always wrong even Customer is always wrong even if it is the Fonus employee giving wrong information during set-up and then causing a high phone bill with the other service provider. The original person who helped me set up was nice and tried there best but I still ended up with roaming charges on my other phone number until I removed the SIM. Fonus say they can help protect roaming charges on a dual SIM phone, but it did not work for me in spite of following the exact set-up instruction, and if anything goes wrong, Fonus is never wrong, always the customer is wrong. Had there service for 4 month but will cancel it now.

GBShocking customer service Absolutely stunned by the attitude of the customer service representative. Never been spoken to like that by anyone who wasn't drunk outside a bar trying to start a fight with me.

CAUnable to port Canadian numbers to Fonus We purchased two sim cards and when we tried to port our Canadian cell phone numbers were told that Fonus does not support either number. My partner was offered two other BC numbers, he picked one and then the other, neither of them were available. Eventually he was offered an Alberta number. We bought the sim cards precisely because the advertising said we could port our Canadian numbers. Not true apparently and the chat support was close to useless.

GBThree Month Review/Fair Use Policy I've been with Fonus for three months and couldn't be happier. Not one dropped call nor missing/failed texts, not saying that it can't happen, but that has happened with the "Big Telcos" multiple times. Customer service has always been fantastic and I helpful too. However, what surprises me is that people get upset when they get shut off for violating "Fair Use Policies" (FUP), as this is a common sense policy. Even the "Big Telcos" have FUP and they enforce them too and are necessary to keep networks stabile and not slowed down by excessive use by users. Fonus has multiple contracts worldwide with various network providers and must adhere to to the FUP of each network provider, every provider has different limits. No cellphone provider allows anyone to use their mobile connection as a "home/primary internet connection. Fonus has generous plans and on top of those offerings, they include global service. Instead of blaming companies for enforcing their policies, people should exercise due diligence and read the small print as they would or should with any service or purchase.
