CAWebsite Life Saver We use Uptime.com to monitor TorontoRentals.com and it gives us peace of mind knowing the second we have any site connectivity issues Uptime will send a text message to us. This happened earlier this year after business hours. I received an Uptime notification that some of our main city URLs went down, I quickly called one of our developers to troubleshoot the server issue and within minutes we had our city URLs back online rendering properly. Without Uptime we would have caught the issue the following morning causing a lot of site visitors to land on 404 urls.

GBUptime.com is a great tool for… Uptime.com is a great tool for monitoring web site or other endpoint up-time against SLAs. It is web based, lightweight, and easy to use. I would give it 5 stars if it were not for a few minor aspects of the UI that I find confusing, mainly around the Reports section and knowing how to look at activity and filter what can be included or filtered and such. I sometimes get lost in the hierarchy and options if I haven't changed them in a while. Otherwise, I was able to get reasonable alerts set up within the first hour or two of initiating an account, and this has proven most useful to reporting and SLA status with customers. I would highly recommend this solution to anyone looking to implement up-time or SLA metrics around endpoint tracking.

GBVery pleased Overall, we've been very pleased with the Uptime. The interface is clean and straightforward, the API makes it easy to add and remove checks programmatically and the pricing is competitive. We had an issue with false positives a while back, but that seems to have been resolved. Thanks, guys!

CAGetting started was extremely easy Getting started was extremely easy. I was testing multiple domains within minutes for the most basic checks which was great. The only thing I could possibly suggest would be to have support for a domain-centric view so I could see multiple tests (ie https, dns, etc) for one domain. Unless I missed this somewhere.

GBVery prompt notifications Very prompt notifications when my websites are having issues. Also – it made me realize that using my web host as a place to transfer files slows down my hosted websites considerably. I now use an external hard-drive or Google Drive instead. Yes... I was an idiot before Uptime BUT after using it I feel like a genius. ;)
