Great program to share your files… Great program to share your files without a 3rd party cloud. Windows version runs reliable and has a fast data transfer. Installation and maintenance is much easier than e.g. owncloud server. Encrypted folder is a great idea, if you would like to have another peer online, but dont trust somebody nicking your harddrive from the pi lying on your Desk. Unfortunately the encrypted folder makes some problems. I shared this to a Bananapi with ubuntu server 22 running. Some files cant be transferred. And, hence the encryption, I dont know which ones. Not sure why this is.

Software is great, configuration not so much.. The software works perfectly. Personally, I found the setup complicated, and not very intuitive. If this setup process was simplified, it'd be perfect.

A very positive experience. Resilio Sync manages to fulfill all my syncing needs and they strike a balance between advanced and user-friendly in a manner that works for me. However one small snag, I can not rename a share without the path also being renamed on Android, while I can freely rename a "share name" on PC. A big plus to not being subscription based.

Terrific program! Just get it! This is perhaps the most useful program I have ever come across. Easy to sync folders across multiple devices, encryption, sharing, probably lots of other features I haven't figured out yet. Encrypt your cloud folders, see all your files on mobile, everything syncs so fast it's unbelievable. Just get it!
