Personalized Practice with Speaking and Listening in Spanish I have been a student of Coach Francis for over three years. When I signed up for a free trial lesson with Spanish55 in 2021 after stumbling upon the program with an internet search, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am SO glad that I took this jump to improve my Spanish. I studied Spanish in school, including having a Spanish minor in college. Although I knew a lot of Spanish, I still struggled to speak and listen, especially over the phone and when people were speaking fast. I am a teacher and want to support my Hispanic students and their families. Enrolling in Spanish55 has made me more comfortable with speaking and listening. I am 100% sure that my Spanish has improved. Coach Francis tailors the lessons to me, which is much different than my experience as a regular student in a class of 20 or more. We have worked specifically on Spanish for educators and any other topics that interest me or are challenging to me. Francis is patient; she points out my mistakes with kindness to help me grow. We have formed a friendship over my three years of working with her, and I have no plans of quitting! I am enjoying my weekly lessons and continue to learn and improve. Spanish55 is a worthwhile investment, the best way I've found to practice Spanish when travel or total immersion are not feasible. I highly recommend Coach Francis and Spanish55.

Ana is an amazing teacher Ana is an amazing teacher! She is very patient and really nice. She takes her time explaining things to me and always asks me if I have any questions. I feel very comfortable with her and she is the reason I have been having lessons with Spanish55 for over a year now. She is also very knowledgable, smart and funny. I hope to keep taking lessons with her for a long time to come.

Five stars for Coach Paula I have been taking Spanish lessons with Spanish55 since 2021. I have been with my coach, Paula, since December 2021. I believe her teaching and understanding is why I have continued to pursue my goal of learning to speak Spanish. Coach Paula is able to see where I am struggling and supplement additional work to help me fully understand, as needed. She is encouraging when I become frustrated, celebrates small and big victories with me, is understanding when I become overwhelmed and truly cares about my learning experience. I think Coach Paula may know me better than I know myself! I am proud of how far I have come, but it wouldn't be possible without Coach Paula. I found Spanish55 after an internet search. I was happy to find one on one learning that had a flexible schedule and fit within my budget. I took 3 years of Spanish in high school, but none of it stuck, so I started with the very basics again. I have learned so much! All of my friends have used other modalities to learn, and they have noted how I have exceeded their learning progress, which is due to the personalizations my coach has implemented into my learning.

Wonderful experience I’ve been trying to learn Spanish for years now, previously trying different apps, but I never saw much improvement. Spanish55 has made learning Spanish so much easier and enjoyable. I feel so much more comfortable in my ability to speak and listen because we spend the lessons practicing both of these skills. Spanish55 and Coach Atenea I had a B1 level before I started my lessons with Spanish55 and, like probably every student, I felt like I wasn't really making any progress with my Spanish skills. The individual training definitely helped me to have conversations in Spanish and gave me the confidence to use these skills in my everyday life. My teacher Atenea was and still is a great support on this path. She knows what training is necessary and how to take me step by step further towards my goal of reaching the next levels. The classes are a mix of everyday and casual conversations to working through our lessons from the textbook. I really appreciate her calm manner and the fact that she never loses focus and identifies and corrects any of my mistakes, whether grammatical or pronunciation. I can only recommend my coach Atenea and Spanish55 and look forward to my further progress in this program.
