About CyberTex Institute of Technology

Since 2000, when CyberTex opened it’s first campus in Austin, Cybertex Institute of Technology has been giving students training and know-how, through nationally-accredited programs to transition into high-tech and medical careers. The Killeen campus, opened in 2008, has started training students in this fast-growing part of Central Texas, including veterans who are using their post-9/11 GI Bills and VOC Rehab to enter our programs and transform their lives.

My review of the medical assistant course here... Instructors care about your success and make learning engaging, hands on and fun. All of them are highly intelligent, know this line of work and have the experience in the field to back it up. I enjoyed my class time here and have learned a lot. Fast paced but if you take this seriously it will rewarding for you. This is course is like any type of professional development environment. You will get out of it what you put into it. If I can do it anyone can as I worked a full time job, went to school full time here, served in the military as a Army Reservist and have a family. Looking forward to getting more experience in the medical field. Thanks.

When I went there in 2012 When I went there, they were just barely organised and extremely lacking. They didn't have correct manuels for the courses about half the time. (to be fair if you asked, they did sometimes have the official MS ones, but were very limited) Some instructors, while talented people didn't know the material well enough to be teaching it, nor had the resources required. But much worse was when they pulled a basic Network plus course and replaced it with a CCNA one that was far too advanced for the amount of time given to learn it! (they said it looked good on your resume!). While I did stick with the program, and did complete my "network engineering" certificate, I'd say unless they have improved drastically they are a waste of your time and money! If your serious about IT go elsewhere.

Absolute scam Absolute scam. I finished with my classes and graduated, but was given no help, none of the staff emailed me back or tried to get in contact with me after I asked about exam dates. So, surprise! I miss exams. So I have nothing to show with the schooling that I got. Literally nothing. I might as well not even have gone. It was a waste of money. Not only that, but staff did not help me with my resume or to find a job - like they promised they would - after I graduated. Don’t go here. It’s a waste of your time and money.

CyberTex Institute is not your typical… CyberTex Institute is not your typical learning center. I have been to college and even when I received my degree with Honors, I can't tell you that I felt prepared to get a job in the IT industry. I found CyberTex and decided that the mix of hands-on training from industry experts as well as new textbooks to reference the certification objectives gave me the perfect blend of learning. It takes a lot of commitment on my end also paired with the help of CyberTex, but the knowledge gained makes me feel prepared to work in the IT field with confidence. I highly recommend CyberTex for those who truly want to be a professional in this field.

I was part of the first Vocational… I was part of the first Vocational nurse class at Cybertex. I learned a lot but felt some of the best instructors were let go and should've stuck around but at the end of the day I am still glad I chose them.
