SC&C has been hands down, the best investment in myself, and my career. I can only say great things about my experience with Stewart, Cooper & Coon, and the partnership I had with the entire team assigned to my campaign. I was fortunate to have an excellent Campaign Director who did an outstanding job keeping my focus on the tasks that provided the greatest impact to my career transition. The early stages and initial tasks requiring that I provide my past experience and accomplishments, in all honesty, seemed somewhat time-consuming and tedious. However as a result of all that preparation, today I am able to reflect on 20 years of my career and communicate my accomplishments with great confidence. During my visit to Phoenix, I had the opportunity to learn and master skills that I now use in my every day communication. Consequently, within 6 months of joining SC&C, I started receiving calls from recruiters and executives interested in discussing their needs with me, resulting in multiple job offers. I was even taught skills that helped me effectively negotiate total compensation packages, which has proven invaluable. SC&C has been hands down, the best investment in myself, and my career.

I am not a client of this firm I am not a client of this firm, but after reading the mostly positive reviews, I thought it might be helpful for some of those job hunters out there to hear my experience. I just received an email from Stewart, Cooper and Coon presenting me with a 7-question questionnaire, presumably to screen me as a potential client. The one that caught my attention was the last question - "As truthful as you can be, what will be the biggest reason companies may incorrectly/inadvertently "pass over you"? In my case, this question is really the crux of my entire job hunting experience. I believe that I can offer a high degree of value to an employer - value that is not readily translatable in a resume or cover letter. So far I evidently haven't been able to effectively project that value to potential employers, which leaves me nowhere thus far. I have employed the services of 2 other firms, both requiring money from me, and I have to say that I'm done shelling out money and getting no results. If I had encountered Stewart, Cooper and Coon earlier in my job hunting journey, before I paid a lot of money to these 2 other firms, I would probably pursue the possibility of working with SC&C. But I'm done paying money to find a job and that's how I intend to respond to the emailed questionnaire. What happened to the traditional model of recruitment firms getting their money from the hiring employer? I know that those percentages are high and companies are tired of paying what could amount to be exorbitant fees. Maybe those fees should be reduced across the board. Bottom line for me is, if a potential employer truly sees long term value in me as an employee, they shouldn't hesitate to pay the fee. If I'm going to provide long term value, then that fee will pay for itself many times over.

A Great Partner After exhausting several months of looking for an opportunity in my field through on line searches, I decided to invest in myself by partnering with Steward, Cooper & Coons. It was a true partnership throughout the process. Through a detailed approach of worksheets and discussion, my career campaign coach got to know my skills, experience, career successes and career goals to help me create tools to promote myself. I truly had a partner that understood my strengths and the value I will add to my next position. I consider myself with above average interview skills, having an HR background and being in a position to interview and select upper management talent. By using the tools we created I enhanced my interview skills and found the feedback from my coach to be both on target and specific to further elevate my skills. My career coach is professional, detailed, knowledgeable, and truly a great partner! I am happy my career search led me to Stewart, Cooper & Coon to create a partnership that kept me focused, detailed and aggressive in my search to finding a position and company that I am very excited about.

My introductory experience My introductory experience with Stewart, Cooper, and Coon was exemplary. I was contacted by a Senior Executive Consultant shortly after posting my resume online. He took the time to review my resume and contact me to gauge my level of interest in using an Executive Search service. During our first call I found that my consultant asked thoughtful questions regarding my background, experience, desires, and interests for the future of my career search. We scheduled a follow-up call during which my consultant said he would provide me with a courtesy review of my resume and some tips for my career search, all being gratis. I left the first call feeling rather impressed. Our second call was a real eye-opener. My consultant lead me thru some of my resume deficiencies, and furthermore tested my interview preparedness. I was surprised to see that there was so much to learn about how to market and brand oneself. I found the introductory and review sessions conducted by Stewart, Cooper, and Coon to far exceed my expectations. They weren’t just a sales pitch. I took away some fantastic insights and advice from my time spent with them thus far. I would recommend any individual looking to further their careers to reach out to Sterling, Cooper, and Coon in an effort to learn more about themselves first, and then make a decision to utilize them for additional services.

Pre-paid 'Recruiting" Scam stewartcoopercoon.com Stewart, Cooper & Coon / employs a "Blain Ross Johnston" and a "Fred Coon" and they use a crafted email to create a warm lead then call you to pitch to you. They feed off your emotions to try and hook you as they are talented sales folks which is unfortunate since they prey on those who don't have the money. They use very refined sales tricks which I enjoyed hearing. One was "What was the most you made in your career? $999, so you shouldn't look for less than that. Our service is probably beyond your what you can afford, but we can talk again later this week if you want." One of their statistics is that they have a 97% success rate. All being told they should be more interested in taking first months salary for $10k+ if that was the case - but they want the money up front since they are doing little to help you find a job. Additionally, to preclude you from doing any due diligence they furnish links to ripoff report and BBB which are both shakedown services which allow the business to refute the claims. As such Ripoff Report started offering a new service called "RipoffReport Verified" that allows paying members 14 days to resolve complaints before they are posted, for $89.95 a month. It's no surprise that Stewart, Cooper & Coon are "RipoffReport Verified" Everything online can be faked. Buyer beware.
