Overcome is genuinely dedicated to improving accessibility to mental health services! I have been interning for Overcome for just under two weeks and it has been a unique and amazing experience so far! The charity is thoroughly dedicated to its mission of making mental health more accessible and attacks every front (including research, clinical work, networking etc.) to make that happen. In my short time with Overcome I was given the opportunity to explore and work on projects outside of my direct duties and take on leadership roles that would have taken me months to attain had I been working anywhere else. Instead of setting bureaucratic obstacles in the interns' and employees' ways, the higher-ups recognise initiative and innovation and nourish it until it yields results. Working for Overcome, I feel like I am genuinely contributing to the cause!
