Thank you TEFLOnline, I am getting ready to leave for my first overseas job. This online course is not easy. It takes a real commitment of time and effort. The essays can seem to be too much but my tutor was great. I am very excited to have been accepted as an English teacher in northern India.

It is a great site It was a great site with a lot of unique features. It helps students learn the subject matter in a quick and timely manner. When it comes to the questions, I was hoping that some of the questions were more straightforward. It almost seemed like they wanted to see if you understood the question itself more so than the content. I learned the content, but some of the questions threw me off. Overall, the website is great for developing future teachers.

Not currently a member of IATEFL ITTO (International Teacher Training Organization)-based in Mexico.Researching the TESOL/TEFL courses, I saw that their Website claims they are a member of IATEFL. I checked with IATEFL and they confirmed ITTO is not currently a member. I had emailed ITTO to ask about the course, they had replied. However when I asked them about the IATEFL membership, they stopped communicating. Telephone support may be based in India. Gave somewhat vague answers to my questions.

An In-Depth way to learn My experience with TEFLOnline.com has given me the opportunity to study the ESL teaching curriculum at my own pace and within the comfort of my own home. This well planned out course allows the student to focus on topics and spend time on various subjects that may be more difficult than others. Also, the program causes the student to look at the language learning experience from the ESL Students perspective and points out some of the difficulties that students of various languages may encounter when learning English. I believe that this course has given me a foundation by which I could easily teach an ESL class from a popular ESL Text Book and Workbook. I have learned much about creating fun and diverse exercises to enhance any such program and a well defined structure in which to present lessons to ESL Students. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has the ability to work on their own and is motivated to absorb the information from each module that will provide them with well rounded skills to be a great ESL Teacher!!!!!!

Not what was expected The materials, including videos and written modules, were old. Many of the reference materials and links to resources either did not work or were obsolete - companies were no longer in business or the website was different. I'd recommend this is you are in a hurry to get a cert to teach but if you are really looking for something to augment your career as a teacher, look somewhere else.
