Mitchell Golden LSAT (19% increase) Mitchell and I worked together for about 3 months leading up to my second attempt at the LSAT. With his help, I was able to jump from the 55th percentile to the 74th as well as gain acceptance and great scholarship money to a number of NYC area schools! Mitchell is an awesome communicator, he knows just how to simplify complex problems and dictate solutions in a clear and concise manner. One of my favorite parts about working with Mitchell is his ability to work your interests into problem-solving. Somehow, someway Mitchell always found a way to explain problems within the frame of baseball to help me understand what needed to be done. I enjoyed working with Mitchell so much that I passed him along to my sister for her SAT prep. I highly recommend GoldenLSAT!

The Best LSAT Tutor!! I began studying for the LSAT by myself while in England with little to no experience on what resources I should have been using. I was all over the place and wasn’t sure what I needed to do to improve my diagnostic score of 151. I knew I wanted to score at least 160’s and then make it to the 170’s, but I had no idea where to start. While I was abroad, I found Mitchell and we hit it off right away! Each week for about 3 months, we met via Zoom for an hour and half and worked our way through the LSAT, taking it section by section. Mitchell is an incredible tutor and tailors his teaching to what works best for you. My worst section was LR, but under his guidance, we were soon able to figure out a couple strategies that worked for me consistently and that I felt confident using on test day. Mitchell is also super accommodating and worked with my schedule and time, which was especially helpful while in England (an 8 hour time difference!) and as I moved back to the US halfway through my study prep for the September exam. Thanks to Mitchell’s guidance, I was able to score a 161, which had never happened before, not even in practice exams! Although my end goal is still to score in the 170’s, I’ve taken a break for now to focus on academics before going back to LSAT prep. However, I know that Mitchell made a huge difference in my journey, and I doubt I would have been as successful without him.

Amazing Tutor! Working with Mitchell was the key to getting out of my bad LSAT habits and attacking the test in a whole new way. Before working with him, I scored a 171 and struggled with maintaining consistently good scores on RC and LR. I had essentially hit a plateau. After just a few weeks (May until the June test) we trained on habits that improved my speed, which lended to better, more consistent scores. These were ways of attacking the test I had never heard about from commercially available prep books. His confidence in me and my abilities went a long way to making me feel like I could succeed. I ended up scoring a 174 on the June test thanks to his help!

Mitchell helped me go from the mid-160s to a 179 on test day. Mitchell helped me improve my score from the mid-160s to a 179 over the course of 4-5 months. Before I met Mitchell, I was experiencing a score plateau and was struggling to improve in LR. Previous tutors I’ve worked with had a very formulaic approach to LR and would teach me strategies like “never select an extremely worded answer choice for a Weaken question,” or “when in doubt, always pick an answer choice with the word X.” As a result, I believed that mastering the LSAT and scoring a 170+ was all about mastering these techniques. However, when these strategies failed to get me to a 170+ on test day, I decided to work with Mitchell. Mitchell’s approach was really different from my previous tutors, because he emphasized flexibility and “reacting to what you see,” rather than memorizing and applying formulaic techniques. He challenged me to rethink the way I approach LR, and once I accepted his advice, I found myself scoring significantly better. Additionally, Mitchell is a very supportive tutor and offers constant one-on-one Q & A support through text, which is something that most other tutors don’t offer. I really enjoyed working with Mitchell, and I know that I wouldn’t have gotten my score without his help.

From 140s to 99th percentile score: thanks Golden LSAT! Nearly a year ago, I started with a diagnostic in the 140s and using another test prep company/tutor was able to record my first official score in the mid-160s However, I still didn’t feel like the exam had fully “clicked” for me. After doing extensive research on tutors and different test prep companies, I stumbled across Mitchell’s AMAs on Reddit. Larger test prep companies, like the one I used, rely on too many gimmicks or shortcuts that actually make the LSAT more complicated than it needs to be. Mitchell’s AMAs exposed me to a more practical and intuitive approach to the LSAT. I knew I wanted him in my corner as I ramped up for a re-take! While working with Mitchell for just under 3 months, I was able to move my practice exams scores to the mid-170s, even notching my first 180! On the June exam, I scored a 174 official score. Mitchell’s approach to the exam is fundamentally different than other test prep entities. Using helpful analogies, intuitive strategies, and even connecting back the exam to basic reading/analytical skills (that are SO relevant for law school), he made the test both fun and rewarding. Not to mention, Mitchell really helped me get into the mindset of what it means to be a high scorer. On top of all of this, he’s incredibly thoughtful, flexible, and accessible. His primary goal is your success, not a paycheck. The cost: For many of you, a point of hesitation might be the cost (and it certainly was for me). As someone who works full-time, I allocated a larger than expected portion of my paycheck towards LSAT prep. The moment I logged onto LSAC and saw the 174, I knew it was worth it. Fortunately, this score places me at or above nearly every schools’ median. This not only means I have a shot at some of the best law schools in the country, but also great scholarship offers. In short, if you can afford it, don’t hesitate, especially if you’re just starting. If you can’t afford it, Mitchell’s AMA’s are still a great resource and even a consultation call with him can help you learn how a 180-scorer approaches the exam. THANK YOU MITCH AND GOLDEN LSAT!
